“Wonderful cottage and garden - even better than the photos!”
Reviewed 6 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Over the years I have booked many cottages in the UK and this one is by far one of the best. The photos do not do it justice! The owner has equipped it with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break: from a fully equipped kitchen to umbrellas and shopping bags; from a wood burner to lots of instant hot water; from good quality, comfortable furniture to lovely duvets. The attention to detail is amazing and the colour scheme is lovely. Oh .... and it was very clean, had good wi-if and the garden is absolutely charming! Needless to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage for your break.

“Beautiful and well equipped, and will definitely visit again.”
Reviewed 20 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We have just enjoyed a 3night stay at Cherry Tree Cottage and it was perfect. Whilst it was quaint it certainly wasn't small and all the personal touches made for a stay we will definitely repeat when next in the area. There was kindling for the wood burner, washing powder for the machine, fresh herbs on the window sill and plush towels and hotel quality bedding. We hosted a meal for family and found everything we needed in the kitchen, and sat in the beautiful garden enjoying glorious sunshine.

“Clean, warm, comfortable cottage.”
Reviewed 15 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We have stayed here before and hope to be back many times in the future. The cottage is very well appointed and in particular I would mention the comfortable bed with quality bed linen, a large shower with thick, large(!) towels, good wifi, a lovely garden for the dog (and us!), a wood burner and ease of parking. The surrounding area is lovely and has many good pubs for us and walks for the dog.
Thank you Gale, we hope to be back before too long.

“Home from Home”
Reviewed 12 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

Cherry Tree cottage is a mid-terrace cottage in a small hamlet near Hadleigh (that's about 20 mins west of Ipswich). Its very convenient for SE Suffolk and Northern Essex. You can reach the Suffolk Coast in 30 mins and Southwold in about 45 mins by car.
There are lots of pretty villages in the area, such as Lavenham (very pretty and historic but too full of tourists and gift shops for my liking) or more down to earth places like Hadleigh or Sudbury, which have a great range of shops and Markets. The one at Sudbury particularly stood out for me.
The cottage is well appointed, with a lounge / dining room, well fitted compact kitchen and two bedrooms. The bathroom / toilet is downstairs and as is typical in this type of property the stairs are steep so take car if needing to pay a visit at night! There is a sofa bed in the lounge area.
The cottage has really good central heating, a washing machine and free wifi which I found really useful. There is a modest but private garden for summer evenings.
Parking is outside on a bye road but it seemed safe and we could always park right outside.
There is a pub a few minutes walk away - we didn't sample it but has a full range of drinks and food.
The owner can leave breakfast ingredients by arrangement and this was really good quality and saved us shopping on the way.
The beds were very comfy and I slept well, although you are a little way from a main road and there is a bit of traffic noise but this tails off during the evening and it didn't worry me. As consolation you are straight onto the road to Ipswich or Sudbury and this made it ideal for me as I had some work commitments in Ipswich.
Overall this was very homely and to my mind would suit at any time of year. The location was great as it enabled me to explore areas I am not familiar with and had great charm.
Booking and Check in / out was simple and the Owner was really prompt on communication.
Thank you and would love to stay again.

Had an extended stay in this pretty cosy cottage which is well situated for visiting the many places of interest and pretty villages in Suffolk and Essex. The cottage is well equipped and has an enclosed private garden. There are many interesting walks around the cottage.
