The property is gorgeous and the staff is friendly. Loved the history. The wine was decent and the bottles were overpriced.

Before we start MAKE A RESERVATION in advance!!
We visited yesterday when there were many groups involved in various events and were brought to a lovely table outside. Bianca (who was extraordinarily helpful and gracious) explained the wines and the areas around Etna and the weather and terroir influences etc. It was great. We took our time and bought and drank their lovely wines. Hats off to Sonia as well who was hugely accommodating. My wife and I visit vineyards around the world and Benanti is an absolute favorite. Can't say enough good about the wines, the facility and Bianca and her colleagues.

This was a very pleasant few hours as we drove up to view the world from Mt. Etna. We made reservations for us 4 and had a tour of one of the Benanti vineyards, their old (no longer used press) and the barrels of wine aging for that vineyard. The tour was lead at first by Bianca, a cousin of the owner, and then by the sommelier, Sonia. Both were bright charming women and we were made to feel very welcomed. The lunch-tasting included 5 wines, 4 of which are unblended varieties. One white, one rose, and three reds. When we first arrived, we had a glass of sparkling wine. Food was pleasant with nice cheeses, sausages, and olives. We also used the house olive oil

Hands down one of the best wineries you will ever visit! Not only is the wine delicious, the staff, vineyards, and grounds are top notch. It would be a huge mistake to be in Sicily and not spend a few hours here!

Showed up on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation (although I highly recommend making one) and Salvo and his staff very graciously accommodated me and my friend for a wine tasting with food and a tour of the winery. The wine was fantastic as was the food. It's a great spot to spend a few hours. Very grateful for their hospitality. A highlight from our Sicily trip.

We enjoyed a fantastic tour of the vineyards terraced up the flank of Mount Etna. In addition to enjoying the wines during a sumptuous tasting with food sitting at a table with the winery staff, we got to tour the restored palmento where the wine used to be processed generations ago. For wine nerds, this is a magnificent stop to get the full experience, and worth the price!

Make reservations ahead of time!

Our visit to Benanti was incredible. From the moment we were greeted by the fabulous and knowledgeable team, to the wonderful wine, incredible food and such hospitality. You don't feel like a visitor but instead like a member of the family. Giuseppe and Carmen were so warm and welcoming as was the whole team. To say it was a wonderful experience is an understatement - well worth a visit!

We'd been to a Benanti wine tasting in NYC, and had wanted to stop by the vineyard on our trip to Sicily . We didn't receive an answer to our email from the day before, and stopped in just minutes before a large tour group was expected. The family couldn't have been more gracious though, and apologized for not being able to accommodate us and gave us a few bottles of Etna white wine that we enjoyed later. Hopefully next time we can get the full tour!

This was one of the highlights of our anniversary week. The tour of this beautiful family run vineyard was breathtaking. You can tell how passionate they are about their wine and vineyard because of how in depth the tour guide was able to speak about all aspects of the property. The delicious paired lunch was spectacular and fresh. We could have sat there for hours more drinking and listening to the ins and outs of the Benanti family estate, their wines and heritage. Still dreaming of the Rovittello and hope to find a case near me in the states.

If you are trying to find one place to visit near Mt Etna this is the spot. Many locals in Taormina suggested it is a top 5 vineyard not only in Sicily but in all of Italy. We stayed at the Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea and the maitre d’ selects one of their whites on the wine list. Extremely hard to find because it sells out, it’s that good! Thank you for such a great afternoon on your beautiful property, we hope to one day return!

My mother, sister and I visited here on our last day in Sicily. Bianca was very friendly and accomodating in doing a slightly modified tour to avoid too much walking. Our host was only two weeks into the job and had so much knowledge of Etna terroir, the fruit, and the Benanti winery and wines. The wines and his explanation were also wonderful. And the food - I can't believe the quantity and quality of the food. Everything was exceptional, and I wish we had longer to eat and enjoy. We were the only small group, and so we had the staff's full attention, which was kind, though we felt a little self-conscious. I would love to return here some day, and highly recommended it for anyone who enjoys wine tasting. I wish I had more room in my suitcase; I bought a few bottles and their exceptional olive oil, too.
