The location is firmly in farming country but exactly as we planned to be reasonably central for the memorials and cities we aimed to visit.
The owner welcomed us on arrival and gave us a brief orientation - we were delayed enroute but he was not upset. The bedrooms and communal facilities were exactly as described. He even left a bottle of home produced Apple juice for a welcome drink. Everything worked ok, although the Wifi was poor, but then there was no mobile signal either so he had no blame for that. It was clean and well prepared with Bedlinen and towels provided as extras which we knew about although he didn't take the payment till we left. The facilities were quite adequate to allow us to prepare some simple meals. The parking was off-road. It would be lovely to visit again in the Summer.
This is a lovely gite that has been very tastefully furnished with lots of character. It is ideal for a large family with 4 bedrooms all en suite. Downstairs is very spacious. Only downside was lack of room to store food, some extra cupboards would have been helpful for a self catering gite, but otherwise it couldn't be faulted.
