WE had a great time at 4S langkawi. We enjoyed a beach villa. The hotel is well appointed also for children and offers many activities. It is a pity that our outdoor bathroom was hard to access by ourselves ( closed doors) and was not really clean...

I recommend the malaysian restaurant which is awesome and very beautiful.

Notice that some beach villas are located on the side of the beach ... where you can see a ciment factory! Ask to have one beach villa on the other side.

Four stars are only for the beach.

Four Seasons Brand is always ubiquitous with luxury. Unfortunately, this property does not meet the brand benchmark. We can all agree the beach is amazing, however the property itself is tired and dated. Given the premium pricing, I would unfortunately opt for the alternatives on the island or as a plan b the 4S Koh Samui.

Pool area was dilapidated and uninspired by the grounds / buildings.

Sorry 4S :-/

We highly enjoyed our stay in Four Seasons Langkawi. Luxurious rooms, beautiful beach, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast, wonderful sunrise yoga at the lotus pond (thank you, Shareen!!)... We hope to come again.

Langkawi is heaven and the Four Seasons a delightful peaceful experience for the discerning traveller. The staff are attentive and pleasant wanting to do the best for you. The ambiance is fabulous, quality of food excellent and impeccable surroundings. We particularly liked the separation of adults from children in the pool allocation.

My husband and I spent the weekend at The Four Seasons Langkawi Resort & Spa. It was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We have nothing to complain about and LOTS to rave about!
We were greeted at the airport by Rosli, our driver to the resort. He was friendly, engaging and shared stories about Malaysia on the 30 minute drive to the resort.
We were greeted at the resort by Joanne who was fabulous. She made us feel welcome and was very helpful sharing about the resort and later during our stay.
The RESORT... It's GORGEOUS! It's designed well from the lobby to the beaches to the pools to the restaurants to the outdoor areas and pathways to the villas. The buildings and grounds are very nice and well kept. They have buggies that will take you between locations if you don't want to walk, as well as bikes available to ride.
The BEACH... I'm not sure I can do the beach justice in writing. It's big and long and BEAUTIFUL! Gorgeous white sand beach with water with little surf. Lots of great shells every morning to pick up. And we felt like we had it to ourselves! The resort is designed so well, with lots of private spaces that there were hardly any people on any given stretch of beach at any time. We were literally all alone on this big gorgeous beach almost every time we walked down it.
Our VILLA... AMAZING! The villa was incredible. Big. Spacious. Nicely decorated. Wonderful fruit provided daily. Huge glass floor to ceiling window/walls with a view of the beach on the front. A private Jacuzzi pool and large deck out front. And an expansive private beach area with lounge chairs, umbrella and hammock. It was like our own little deserted island area. The bath area had a very large tub, large closet and dressing area, indoor and outdoor rainfall showers. You could lay on the very comfortable king bed with a full on view of the beach and ocean. Plus there was an office area, a living room area and a private massage room. With all of this wonderful space to ourselves, we didn't use the public pool area.
The 3 RESTAURANTS... Great. The architecture is beautiful. The service and food was wonderful. The buffet breakfast is huge with lots of options. We ate one dinner at the Malaysian restaurant and one at the Mediterranean restaurant. Both meals were great. We enjoyed lunch at the beach restaurant one day and ordered room service lunch the other 2 days. All food was tasty and well prepared.
RHU BAR... we visited the bar each night. Friday was manager's reception with free drinks which was a surprise and appreciated. Bar is nice. Open air. Right on the beach. With a great view of the sunset each evening. There's also a pool table and television inside if you get tired of the beach or the outdoors.
The STAFF... wonderful! Everyone from GM to waitstaff to spa staff to gardeners to buggy drivers and everyone else were guest focused, friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to get to know us and what we wanted. A shoutout to Sunrider who was always friendly and kind.
The SPA... We had 90 minute in room massages one day and the next day we went to the spa where I had a 60 minute massage and my husband had 60 minute reflexology. All services were fantastic! The spa is beautiful. A special shoutout to our masseuses who were amazing - Azila and Sophie.
I highly recommend this resort!

Room Tip: beachfront pool villas are amazing!
