The service we received from the owners was excellent. Getting the key through the post took a lot of stress out of the arrival. The directions from the airport were perhaps a bit too detailed but they got us there OK.
When we arrived the property was clean and tidy. There was a jug of iced lemon water in the fridge, a bowl of plums and a bottle of local wine together with a very welcoming note.
The property was spacious, very well equipped and had everything we needed.
Convalle is up in the hills (about 20 mins from the main valley road) and there are no shops in the village.......but this quietness is what attracted us to it. There are several small villages nearby with a range of good restuarnats, a post office, chemist, etc.
The location is amazing though. Stunning views across the village rooftops and then out across the tree covered hills.
Best things were the level of equipment in the property, its location and the warmth of the local people.
Worst things - its not for the disabled or anyone unfit or unstable as after the 20 minute drive up the mountain roads there is a walk of 100+ steps from the communal car park. A number of people had written quite negative comments in the visitors book about smelly drains - but hay it's a stone property, not on main drainage and miles from anywhere. There is a bit of a smell but nothing to get ung up about.
I'd recommend this property without hesitation.
