“Friendly welcome. Gites was clean and comfortable.”
Reviewed 12 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

The owners were friendly & very helpful. Great view over fields. Duras is a very friendly town. Great restaurant facing the chateaux. Lots to see and do in the area. Not far from Bergerac & Bordeaux. The pool was being built when we visited. Kitchen compact and great combination cooker grill microwave. Was great accommodation for the two of us. Very close to butchers, bakers and bar. The bar by the town square is a great place to meet people.. We went in February looking for a house and Duras was a great centre.. Off street parking. Gated property.. Pretty area. Great vineyards!

“A gem of a find”
Reviewed 3 October 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed in this delightful Gite for 2 nights and will definitely book a return visit. Duras is a charming village with lots going on and the surrounding area is truly beautiful. Le Petit Arlequin is set close to the centre yet feels relaxing and rural. The Quinn's have created a little piece of heaven. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and stylishly decorated and the host and hostess are on hand if you need them or simply want advice on the best local restaurants. We will return'

“Ideally situated - a countryside feel in a convenient location”
Reviewed 28 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We received such a warm, friendly welcome from the owners, who are English, but have embraced the French lifestyle and integrated into local village life. The gite was traditional on the outside, but tastefully updated on the inside with all mod-cons, including a washing machine and second "beer fridge"!. The property was well maintained, clean and comfortable. The surrounding garden was spacious and felt private due to the gentle partitioning using the natural treeline between the owners home and the gite. The above ground pool was available to use and was well maintained. I understand a new pool is due to be built this year, ready for next year. The location was perfect; to the rear of the property there was the owners substantial garden and countryside, and the local town/village was a five minute walk away, as was the Chateaux Duras which overlooks the town. I highly recommend a tour of the Chateaux. There are local shops, a bakery, restaurants and cafe's and a supermarket 5 mins drive away, so everything you could need is all within a short distance, but feels worlds away when back at the gite. I will be returning next year :)

“A REAL FIND!”
Reviewed 29 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Loved this Gite - it was just what we wanted. Clean, bright and comfortable. Obviously recently refurbished with all mod cons! The owners have thought of everything you would need for a holiday stay and the kitchen area was especially well equipped. The Gite stands on its own surrounded by trees and fields. It is on the edge of the town of Duras which is great for popping out for freshly baked croissants in the morning or walking off to the local restaurants in the evening. The owners could not have been more hospitable and their house is just across the garden if we wanted some local advice. Great value for money.

“Fantastic apartment in a very convenient location”
Reviewed 28 July 2015 for a stay in March 2015

My wife and I stayed in this apartment in March 2015 and had a wonderful time even though the weather was not particularly kind to us (apparently we should have visited the week before when it was particularly warm!).

The apartment itself has plenty of room and is well appointed with high quality modern furnishing and appliances. I am particularly fussy about showers and was pleased to find that this was excellent.
We also found the beer fridge and free Wi-Fi especially useful!

The hosts could not have been more helpful and accommodating during our short stay.

The location was excellent for our short stay and is particularly handy if you do not want to cook as there are plenty of excellent places to eat and drink within walking distance.
Also within walking distance is the Chateau which is well worth a visit (if you don't spend all your time buying and eating too much in the nearby artisan chocolate makers).
