“Lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. Miguel and Jenne went out of their way to make us welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The cottage is very comfortable and has modern facilities whilst retaining its authenticity with beautiful beams, wooden floors and exposed stonework. The surrounding area is stunning as are the nearby beaches which were virtually empty. We also spent time in the garden and were delighted that the light evenings meant we could sunbathe until after 9 pm. We recommend the cottage as the ideal location for those looking for a peaceful, scenic holiday with the comforts of home.

“Relax in a Beautiful Peaceful Setting”

Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. The cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely garden. Our hosts Michael and Jenne were welcoming, hospitable and always available to deal with any queries or offer advice on the surrounding area. This part of Galicia has loads of amazing beaches, great countryside and interesting places to visit - we could have done with longer than a week!

Thank you for your kind remarks. It was a pleasure to have you stay in the cottage; you looked after the place so well and left it so clean - thank you. We are very pleased that you had such a good time here; there is so much to see and do in this part of the scenic Rias Baixas and we're glad that with our local knowledge, we could help you to enjoy the area to the full. It was a pity you could only stay for a week this time, but we look forward to seeing you again when you'll have the chance to catch up on even more of the sights. Our best wishes to you both.

“Idyllic Haven after Camino”

Wonderful setting for a relaxed and refreshing holiday. Following the challenges of the Camino this was a wonderful setting to have down time. Travelling independently using public transport, was effortless due to the communication and guidance of the hosts who advised of the local buses. Local amenities including a fabulous beach which was a 2km walk through a pastoral setting. The village shop which doubles as a local bar provides all day to day provisions and the opportunity to meet the local community. In addition the cottage is well located to visit Porto do Son and other places of interest which the hosts are knowledgeable and happy to share.

The farmhouse has been lovingly restored by Michael & Jennie and provides clean, comfortable accommodation in a wonderful setting.

We would highly recommend this as a holiday gem.

It was such a pleasure for us to find that those who had walked for several days on the Pilgrim's routes - the Camino de Santiago, would find our cottage and the grounds a haven of tranquility to relax in, before flying back to Dublin. It was also very useful to have confirmation of just how accessible was the cottage via public transport from local towns and Santiago de Compostela itself, as well as the airport, and that a car was not essential after all for visitors.

And what wonderful visitors you were, delighting in exploring the region as well as enjoying the locality and its beautiful beaches, discovering new friends in the village shop over a drink, or relaxing in the gardens admiring the views and sharing your gentle Irish humour with us. We loved having you stay here and really appreciated that you felt so relaxed and at home, and were able share our feelings about the area.

Our thanks for leaving the cottage so spotlessly clean on your departure. If our local knowledge helped you to enjoy your stay then that was our pleasure and thank you for adding to that knowledge. We look forward to seeing you all again following your next walk on the Camino Frances to Santiago.

We were very happy to read your positive comments about the cottage and the area. It was a pleasure to be the hosts to such appreciative guests and especially gratifying to see how much you all enjoyed the gardens.
With our love of Galicia, the region, its customs and traditions, it was natural to try to pass on some of our enthusiasm and knowledge to help you enjoy your stay. We're glad it helped! In conclusion, thank you for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy - we did enjoy your company and we certainly hope that you will all be back to explore more of this fascinating region and enjoy more of the excellent local wines and the good food as well. With our best wishes.

It was a pleasure for us to have such a delightful couple stay in the cottage with their beautiful little daughter, who so enjoyed the gardens and loved to help by picking up all the windfall apples. Thank you for your kind comments - they are much appreciated and we are only glad we were able to help you enjoy your stay so much. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
