The place was lovely inside out perfect for a night away from the normality's of day to day life, looking for potential wedding venues, evening meal beautiful chicken cooked to perfection, left disappointed with breakfast ordered eggs benedict my absolute favourite, came out with hardly any sauce and it was more like a hollandaise froth, poached eggs was more like hard boiled, our room was fantastic clean and ideal size, lovely decor, receptionist was very helpful and polite. Overall a very good experience! One we will try again in the near future

I had my wedding at Woodlands at the end of July and it was an absolutely fantastic day. The hotel as a venue is spectacular and the grounds are amazing. The marquee is a lovely area for the wedding breakfast and dance floor and the rest of the hotel (rooms and bar etc.) are fabulous. However, the thing that made the day were the staff and how they accommodated what we wanted for the day. We had a lot of personal touches that we wanted to include that our wedding co-ordinator - Jessica - was happy to do everything we wanted. On the day, the staff were just as wonderful. Our speeches ran quite a lot over but the staff were great turned the room around for the evening disco in record time. Anything we wanted on the day wasn't too much trouble at all. It really made the difference to know that anything we wanted to make our day special wasn't any trouble. The hotel is expensive (particularly if you have it as exclusive use) but it was totally worth it. I would highly recommend this venue.

This hotel is around the corner from our house. We'd gone there to have an evening meal and had ordered the chicken, which comes with mashed potatoes and peas. The chicken was cooked really well, but the potatoes were cold and over all the food was very disappointing. My husband however ordered the steak which was beautiful. The hotel grounds are really lovely. Despite the disappointing food, we will go back and try again

My Partner and I stayed at the Woodlands Hotel for a one night stay... I think the room was called 'Damask'. The room was much larger than expected and the bed was a great size and very comfortable. Our room was clean and you could tell a lot of time and thought had been put into the aesthetic of the room, I liked the blue velvet couch but not all aspects were for my personal taste. The best feature of the room was the bathroom which was AMAZING. the walk in shower was a decent size and water pressure was constant and a good temperature. The roll top bath was the perfect size for the two of us to share which was something you just don't get from city centre hotels. The room was on the ground floor and did have patio doors in the bathroom but its no issue the doors are locked and the blinds can be closed ..or not what ever floats your boat. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but we did have breakfast in our room which was really nice. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the hotel if you were wanting to visit Leeds city centre not because its not a great hotel but just because there are plenty of great hotels in the city centre so you may as well book one of those if you are visiting Leeds for a city break. However I would recommend this hotel to couples who would like a romantic night away. We will definitely be returning.

This hotel is convenient for visiting Leeds. It has free parking and there is a bus into Leeds which stops right outside, so no need to use your car.
The hotel is clean and quite comfortable apart from the lumpy pillows which could do with renewal, the miniscule wardrobe, and lack of shelf in shower cubicle.
The breakfast was fine, but the toast would have been better if thick sliced loaf was used. All in all a reasonable budget hotel.
