The house is decorated to a high standard.Well situated for local attractions;Daylesford,Rolright stones for a great walk and The Red Lion a lovely local pub.Yes, it is by the busy road but for a short stay not an issue.Kitchen well equipped, some items a little tired. The fire is a great addition.Dining is a tight squeeze but for a short stay it was fine. The bedrooms and bathroom were well presented.
My husband, toddler and I have just spent a very relaxing three days at Woodland Cottage, and what a great find it was! The cottage itself is lovely - clean, tidy, practical and with the right amount of country charm! It was plenty big enough for our party and our toddler enjoyed running around the small garden. The location is really handy too, Stratford on Avon was only half an hour away as was Blenheim Palace in the opposite direction. The village also has a really good playground for little ones and we enjoyed some delicious food one night at the local pub, which was only a 10 minute walk away. The Cotswolds is such a pretty part of the world, we will definitely be back and would certainly book the cottage again when we do!
Very pretty cottage that is comfortable and spacious. Great for a relaxing weekend or longer. Fitted out with good quality furniture, bedding, towels, etc. Giving it 4 stars rather than 5 as it is on a main road and there is traffic noise (it is not terrible, but it is there), plus the village itself is a little nondescript. Good location for going to the Cotswolds or Stratford and the Red Lion pub in the village is great.
Had a fabulous weekend here at this gorgeous Cotswolds cottage. It has been beautifully decorated, feels very cosy with the fire on (there is plenty of room to spread out though).
It was a real escape to the country in how an English country cottage should be.
It is well placed to explore the region; has some tremendous foody spots in the very near vicinity (great pubs and Daylesford organic which nearly cost me a mortgage in cheese). I would definitely recommend the cottage and I'm already planning my next visit for when Aussie relatives come to visit!
My girlfriends and I had a lovely weekend at Woodland Cottage. We had a cosy evening in with the fire on, which was perfect for us to have a good catch up. The bedrooms are all very comfortable and the bathrooms are very clean and modern. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.
The location was ideal for us as a halfway point to get together, as we were travelling from Surrey, Berkshire and the Midlands. The cottage was really easy to find.
We went for a delicious lunch at The Plough in Kingham and did our shopping at Daylesford Organic. Their cheeses are amazing!
We all enjoyed our weekend at the cottage and will definitely be going back. Blenheim Palace will be on our list of places to visit next time and we'd like to try the pub in Long Compton too. We didn't have any children with us but it's well equipped for a holiday with kids (high chair, cot, games etc) so I would love to visit again with my family.
