“Should be called Funrannoch!”
Reviewed 14 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We celebrated a big birthday with family and friends, including a 9 year old. The house is fabulous, with an excellent dining room and hotel-style kitchen which made cooking and dining so easy and joyous. Rita the owner was lovely and unobtrusive, and most welcoming. Each bedroom has en-suite facilities, and the whole house is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The only thing which would have improved our stay was to have stayed longer. Unbeatable!

“Wedding Weekend for the Whole Family”
Reviewed 14 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had an excellent weekend at Bunrannoch House. It is a most comfortable house and extremely well furnished. The kitchen was so well stocked with all the small things like salt and pepper and spices which are a bore to buy for a short time and it is so easy to work in as it is fitted out to such a high level. Every room had its own bathroom which makes a huge difference when everyone is dressing for a wedding.

We were met by the owner with delicious cupcakes and coffee – what a good welcome.

Liked best: Happy atmosphere and lovely welcome. Lots of bathrooms - all spotless, absorbed our family of 14 effortlessly. Great kitchen.
Liked least: Quite a lot of stairs for my 94 year old mother but she managed without much difficulty with a little help from the rest of us.

“Fabulous place to stay”
Reviewed 28 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We stayed here with family and friends for my 40th birthday. Ages varied from 18 months -48 years, and everyone had a fantastic time. The bedrooms are decorated to a high standard, with good quality carpets, towels etc. we spent ,it's of our time gathered in the huge dining room. There was high chairs and booster seats available if required. Plenty of DVDs and games to occupy everyone. Rita the owner lives in a section of the house, is on hand if you need her but no sign of her otherwise. She had left wine and cupcakes for our party for when we arrived. She couldn't be more helpful. Lovely lady.
The kitchen has plenty of dishes etc to cater for all kinds of food and nibbles. Plenty fridge/freezer space. Wine fridge. Ice machine. There was nothing we needed that wasn't there. We had ordered Tesco groceries to be delivered which came bang on time, great for such a remote location. Couldn't fault this house for a celebration. Faultless! Would definitely love to go back.

“Could not be better!”
Reviewed 20 February 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Bunrannoch house is the perfect place for a big group of people, the accommodation is lovely and scenery great! Rita, the owner, who lives just off the downstairs "bar" room, is extremely welcoming and helpful, but not at all intrusive. Unless you need something, you won't know shes there.

The dining room is amazing, plenty of room for 16 people to dine without feeling cramped, there are lots and lots of glasses to use, and the kitchen has two big fridges and a freezer, as well all the crockery and cultery you could need. The only thing is, the hob AND the oven are gas, if you are not used to cooking in a gas oven you will probably burn some things!! But Rita can keep you right.

Each bedroom looks immaculate; clean, tidy, recently renovated, with loads of storage space in every room and every room ensuite which are also very recently renovated. They would not be out of place in a 5* hotel. Plus most of the rooms have great views! The beds are comfy, my room was made up as a double king, and while lying on the bed it was impossible to tell it was two beds pushed together, a very neat system.

the living room is nice and big as well, with plenty of room for everyone to sit around, a log fire, a small TV and a selection of board games. There is an ice machine in the hall as well, very handy for making drinks!

Its a great location, we loved every minute of it, and very worth knowing about for again. Some lovely walks to do nearby. Tesco and Asda both deliver if you don't fancy lugging all your shopping up with you! Note, if you forget anything there is a small shop in the village, but as you would expect it has quite a small range.

“Book it!”
Reviewed 18 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

This house was perfect for us (three generations of our family celebrating a special birthday). The living room and dining room are very spacious and great areas to socialise in. Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, which we all appreciated. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a large group needs. The whole house has been renovated to high standard. It is clean, comfortable and in a beautiful location. Plus, the owner left us some goodies - wine and cupcakes for all. Highly recommended!
