The only good part is the restaurant location just on the top of the water at the beginning of Annaba sea front promenade.
We ate on the terrace where we could hear the waves crashing on the near-by rock. We
The waiter brought a trolley table on which several types of fish are displayed. We chose shimps as starter and whiting as main course and asked to have them grilled.
The shrimps were served cleaned of their shells and the whiting fish bones removed.
Both tasted good but nothing special.
There was no menu card so we got a bit of a shock when we received the bill. For only a few shrimps each and one whiting for my wife and 2 for myself the bill was 7600 DZD which is rather steep for Annaba. We only had 2 cokes as a drink. With the tip we rounded it up at 8000 DZD.
There were only about 5 tables on the terrace one of them with 4 guys who were having non stop rounds of beer then moved to wine without eating. Made us worry that they might get drunk and misbehave.
The following day we had dinner at the Sheraton hotel buffet restaurant which was excellent and for the same price as a poor dinner at la caravelle.
My advice given the choice, always choose the Sheraton buffet.
