This is free and it is interesting to watch the 7 minute film on the top floor about the geologic formation of the landscape.

Visit this free entrance museum for more information about the magnificent geological formation of Meteora and Greece. The exhibition is arranged beautifully. Highly recommend to visit this place.

I recommend the visit of this small and local museum, which explains well the geological formation of the Meteora site.
The visit took us a small hour to read each sign.

A nice and free museum that explains history of how Meteora developed. It starts at the beginning literally 4.7 billion years ago when this planet was formed. It explains rocks, minerals and over 2 stories lays out step by step process of the region.
It's really worth visiting to learn more about the region.

I visited this museum in conjunction with a nice hike in the area as I was curious how the surrounding area was formed. I couldn’t have asked for a more appropriate museum to answer my questions. I found the displays to be extremely informative, thoroughly relevant and easy to comprehend from a non- science person’s perspective. The staff is quite friendly and the setting is great - right in the center of Kastraki with the rock monoliths of Meteora towering above.
