“EXCELLENT with a very dog friendly pub virtually next door”

Spent two nights at this absolutely charming & cute cottage; sooo cosy, warm, quiet, very comfy beds, everything you absolutely need as well as two lovely garden area's one of which is an absolute sun trap and to top it all a hot tub and a pool table just to add to any entertainment you want. There is a pub, The Crown Inn, virtually next door (well 50/100 yards away) which is very dog friendly and has the most amazing indian restaurant the Lea Spice - which also does takeaways if you want - this cottage, inn and restaurant should not be missed

“Amazing Place!”

I searched for a cottage which ticked all our requirement boxes and Bronte Kingfisher certainly did that! The cottage itself is charming and really cosy, so dog friendly and our Border Terrier, Reggie loved playing in the enclosed garden. We had a very warm welcome from the owners who were there to greet us. The icing on the cake was the massive hot tub inside in a games room, it was fantastic! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we will certainly be back! I have to also mention the lovely village pub, The Crown Inn which has Lea Spice, a fantastic Indian restaurant and takeaway as part of it, the food is excellent and one minute walk from the cottage.

“Lovely relaxing stay”

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed and more for a comfortable stay. Ideal base to visit the local area, take in the views and enjoy this lovely part of the country. The cottage has a hot tub which was very welcome after a long day of walking, all the family enjoyed the pool/air hockey table of an evening. The local pub ( next door) serves wonderful Indian food which I highly recommend. Lea has a local shop, petrol station and lovely walks...perfect for a break away from a busy working life.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Bronte Kingfisher Cottage, thank you for taking the time to tell us about it. It is great to hear that you had everything you needed to hand there, plus the bonus of the hot tub and games - wonderful! We will be sure to pass your comments along to the owner and hope you return very soon.

This is a wonderful cottage to use as a base to explore this lovely area.

It has everything you can wish for including a great log burner, a fantastic hot tub and pool table which converts into an air hockey table.

A mere 50 yards away is the Crown Inn which, on both occasions we visited, gave us a very warm welcome. We loved their curry :)

The bottle of wine that Mrs Besant had left was a lovely touch.

“Lovely cottage, lovely area”
Reviewed 18 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Owners were very helpful and welcoming. Cottage had all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay. Hot tub is a great feature. The dog enjoyed exploring the garden. The cottage is a great portal to the Wye Valley, Brecon Beacons and Forest of Dean. There is a well equipped village shop opposite and a pub less than 50 yards array which has an Indian restaurant and takeaway which is very very good.
All in all a great stay all round.
