What a find. So quiet and peaceful (except for the occasional wood pigeon cooing).
More than a home away from home, this converted schoolhouse chapel is ideally suited to couples looking for respite from a busy world. Not too far away from civilization, centrally located between Oxford, Abingdon, Wantage and Witney. Easy access to major roads for longer distance travel, but also surrounded by luscious countryside and smaller winding roads for "that got away from it all" feeling.
Other places to visit if you're new to the area are Bampton (A lot of Downton Abbey filmed there), Burford (the gateway to the Cotswolds), Bourton-on-the-Water and Witney. Close to the river Thames with many options for walks.
Lots of good watering holes, the nearest is The Blue Boar which is less than a minute walk. They serve an array of fine foods too at reasonable prices.
Accommodation for four is available, although (in my view) it's not suited to young children, but at the price is excellent value for two people.
There is a local 'bus service - bus route 63 links Longworth with Oxford from Monday to Saturday - but a car is the best option.
Fully equipped for cooking, but no freezer. The M&S Wild Bean Cafe (5-10 minutes west on the A420 at the BP gas station) has a good selection of food and drink, and also makes a pretty good cappuccino.
