Everything about this holiday home has been created with care and respect for the locale and its traditions, with charming Lotois features preserved both inside and out (dry stone walls, a traditional covered balcony called a "bolet", a stone fireplace). The owners are equally careful and respectful in their dealings with their clients and communication over the rental was easy and straightforward. If we called to ask a question, the owners would respond almost immediately.

The house is well-equipped for large groups (I have come here twice now in parties of eight comprising of people under the age of thirty). The instructions to turn on the water and gas were readily available and clear and we found ample crockery and cutlery and a generous batterie de cuisine in the kitchen. The number of bathrooms and hot water supply was perfect for our number. There is plenty of space in and out of doors to spread out and spend time individually or as a group, with good-quality garden furniture and sun loungers to enjoy the weather.

Our highlights included swims in the swimming pool surrounded by fragrant lavender bushes, waking up to birdsong, breakfasts on the balcony and walks across leafy footpaths to the Boulangerie in the neighbouring village, Thémines, for fresh bread and croissanterie. It is also a great location for gourmets, with delicious local goat's cheese "Cabécou" and wine from Cahors all available in the nearby supermarket in Lacapelle-Marival.

It is hard to think of a more perfect place to spend time with friends to relax and unwind.

Merci Michael et Clova!

“Poorly prepared coupled with a poor response.”

As group we were not at all happy with the way the house was prepared for us.
The power was off at the mains.
There was no hot water as the boiler was not turned on.
There was no gas.
The refrigerator was off. (as the power was off)
There was no warning of this and once we discovered there was no gas electricity or hot water, it took quite a while to work out following some instructions in the house as to how to do it. Fortunately we arrived in the light and so we could access the basement more easily and I am farely practical.
We were told by the owner that we must put the cover on the pool, there was no cover, it was not available and in storage and put in place on the day we left!
The promised bicycles for use at our risk as stated in the mails were not availabe and were in storage. We were later told they were not in the Holiday Letting contract and so we should not complain.
The promised table tennis table was covered in bird droppings and with a dirty sacking material. Oh and the neighbours dog uses the garden as a toilet but as the owner says "it is the country"
