Its very clean and safe. They have good hole in the wall eating places there. Notcrowded at all when we went there. They were selling a lot of rubber shoes and luggage.

Ueno park is a nice area to visit and enjoy and rat of ueno is full of shops and restaurants where You can find basically anything concerning shoes/clothes. It feels like s bazaar. Worth a visit to experience the touristic Tokyo.

There were so much happening at Ueno park esc on the weekend. Nice place to walk around and relax. Ueno market is a must visit as you can spend time to explore the place, can get cheap Japanese food and bargain sporting clothes and shoes.

Ueno is the perfect place to base yourself if visiting Tokyo. The Skyliner train from Narito comes directly to Ueno, where there is plenty of good accommodation, food, shopping and sites to see. From Ueno station you can get a train to anywhere you need to go in Tokyo.

There are SO MANY things to do and see here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. There area is beautiful and busy. Only gripe I have is the lack of places to put your garbage in this entire country lol but otherwise LOVE it here!

The Station is a bit of a maze but then are most of the large stations on the Yamanote line. Amayoko market is located here and IOIO department store, both worth visits

My family and I made sure to visit the Ueno Park at least a couple of times during our recent June 2018 trip to Tokyo. There is so much to do and see, here.

MUSEUMS - We spent one day visiting several of the museums there, especially enjoying the National Tokyo Museum. As with all things in Ueno Park, prices are quite reasonable. Tokyo National Museum ticket admission is 620 yen for adults (410 yes for children).

UENO ZOO - We then spent most of another day visiting the Ueno Zoo. The zoo was great fun, and we were able to see pandas, too. We, unfortunately, went on a Sunday when school was not in session. There were so many people!!! I would highly recommend visiting on a weekday when there are fewer people.
