We stayed for four nights. The location is great with lots of restaurants close by. You can walk to the shrine and the river cruise. Breakfast buffet was great
We walked to the zoo to see the panda.
The staff were lovely. There is a big supermarket right next door. We used the metro and the buses and there is the Skytree shuttle bus to Ueno station
We really enjoyed our stay. The room had three proper beds
It was a bit warm but there was a portable air conditioner. Junko at reception answered all our query's via email mail prior to our trip. We used the bag forwarding service with great success to save lugging our bags around
We will return.

I only got to spend one night in this lovely hotel, which was a pity as it was by far the nicest hotel I stayed in during my trip to Japan. I booked through a web site and so wasn't expecting a 'view' room but my room was on an upper floor with the most amazing view of Tokyo. I pulled back a screen and was able to admire the view from the bath tub. The room was incredibly spacious, well set out and clean, with a wonderful bathroom and selection of amenities to enjoy.

Room Tip: Upper floor, Sky tree facing

Rooms are big enough but their carpets are very very dirty and the covers on the bed as well. I was scared of touching them.
But apart from that everything is good. There is a safe in the room.
Buffet breakfast on the 26th floor was excellent ! And it has a view on sky tree tower. They have both western and Japanese options available . We stayed for three nights and didn't get tired of it.
In the room you will also find a hairdryer, shampoo and hair conditioner but no body lotion.
They have an indoor pool but it's not free of charge .
The location is very good though. Right in the heart of asaksa district 5 min away from the shrine. A lot of good restaurants and local pubs around.
It was a pretty good stay .

Our travel agency arranged this accommodation for us on our first week in Tokyo. The breakfast is better than most of the other places we spent our vacation in in Japan and the view is beautiful from the restaurant as the sun comes up. The location is unbeatable if you're interested in roaming the old city - it's just a short walk from Senso-ji, Nakamise-dori, and the local metro. You can take the short ride on the local metro to the sumo neighbourhood if you're interested. We were provided the basic toiletries in our stay - but this common to most of our hotels in Japan so something to note when packing. The staff were very helpful upon arrival and upon departure when we needed to send our luggage on to the next hotel. The only thing that one might possible dislike is the dated look in the rooms - if at all. It most certainly didn't take away from the comfort of the room and we enjoyed our stay overall.

I've been staying here nearly a week now, and have found this hotel very comfortable and its concierge and desk services really excellent. Though on a busy street (which makes it easy to find), the rooms are quiet, with no outside noise. Askakusa View offers in-house etheret and wi-fi connections (free), some rooms have mini-fridges and there are several small convenience/supermarkets nearby. The public areas are in the grand manner--as people book weddings here, and there are several up-scale restaurants. The rooms themselves are modest, clean, efficient, a bit on the tight side, as in the case in Japan. Room service and an electronic way of signalling that you want your room made up or don't want to be disturbed. In room plate to boil water for tea.

The views to the east are of the Sky Tower, to the west, Mt. Fuji might one day be seen. But mainly because there are no tall buildings around, all the floors look out over a spacious cityscape. Won't go into nearby "attractions." The closest subway line is Tawaramachi on the Ginza line. The Asakusa train line comes into Asakusa station, but it is a bit far to walk to the hotel, if you have luggage (and look for the elevators in the subway ssations; the number of flights of stairs going up and down is unrpedicatble!).
