clean rooms, modern amenities(What do you expect from a hotel in Japan), helpful staff made my stay in the hotel a worth while experience. It is easily in budget and an excellent choice for travelers. One of the member of the staff speaks little bit of English, so it is easier to communicate.

Room Tip: room with kitchenette

Just needed a place to crash for the night. It was real cheap at JPY 3800 for a single room.
The directions on the website on how to find the hotel was good. Simple to find.
Area is residential nothing much but some eateries and 7-11. Mostly old people walking about. Abit further from the usual tourist spots but if you are looking for cheap, it's ok.
I liked the toilets, shower, wash areas. Though it's shared , it was clean and modern. I like that they separated male & female toilets.
I didn't like the room much. Especially not the blanket. It's the furry fleece kind and made me wonder how often it's washed or changed... I think sheets are better or a covered duvet.
Room is tiny. That's normal. Table & cupboard are like makeshift. I think it can be a little better even though it's cheap.
Receptionist was friendly. The lift... Is ok, but what's with the makeshift carpeting that's stuck with tape? It's just small details. Which can be improved.
I was ok to stay there one night but the room made me wanna get out early the next day. So I gave it an average review.
If you don't mind the details, just want cheap , go for it.

I stayed over at Palace Japan along with my friend for 5 days during our trip to Tokyo a week ago. It was really a wonderful experience staying there. Clean room, nice facilities and best of all, wonderful staff to assist us when we needed some advice on deciding our places of visit. An excellent and affordable choice of stay in Tokyo!!

I stayed for 3 days at this hotel which is located just 3 stations from Akihabara via JR Line. Single type room, dormy style with communal toilet, shower room, kitchenette and dining hall at the first floor. The staffs here were exceptional with very warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. One of the staff speaks little English but he did his best (via google translator) to explain about hotel rules and how to use all facilities offered to ensure a memorable stay for every guest. Coins washer and dryer are available at the first floor. In-room amenities were cabinet, flat screen TV, study table and aircond/heater. The bed and pillow were rather strange but as your got very tired after a long day, I'm not having any problem to sleep. Although the room was small but there was enough space next to the bed for a light morning stretching. No breakfast here but help yourself with free coffee or tea at the dining area. Need more? convenient stores such as Lawson, 7/11, and vending machines were abundant nearby the hotel. About 7 minutes walk to the nearest Minami senju train and bus stations, so going anywhere should not be a problem. A few attractions near the hotel are Sensoji temple, Tokyo Sky tree, Asakusa, river cruise and others. For the price, this is truly exceptional dormy experience in Tokyo and it is highly recommended.

My partner and I spent two weeks in this hostel in July 2014. We really just needed a place to sleep, but ended up really enjoying to relax there. Very friendly, englishspeaking staff, Keiko introduced us to the facilities, rules ect. The rooms are small, but that is understandble as space is the most expensive thing in Tokyo. My boyfriend and I did not mind the bunkbeds. The bed was a little to hard to my taste but asked for a couple of thick plankets and it worked. Pillow is strange, I used my own from home. Aircondition is a must in the summer, and we got ours to work, but we had to get help as the signs were in Japanese. Shared bathrooms were very clean, an army of cleaningladies invaded them every morning at 9 (make sure to do your buisness before). The bathtub at our floor was amazing.
Make sure to go to the top floor there is a balcony with an amazing view. On a bright night you can clearly see the Tokyo Sky Three. Internet worked really well.

The hostel is a 10 min walk from Minami-senju station (Hibiya line, grey), and the friendly locals pointed us in the right direction. An awesome little supermarket and 7/11 is just across the street.

I would stay there again if I ever return to Tokyo.
