Hostel: big, dorms big, beds bigger than standard, bathroom big. Shared bathroom. Clean hostel, clean bathroom, clean bed. Staff is really nice. They clean up the bathroom several times a day. Showers good. Hot water. AC in the room. Kitchen small, common area good.
Location:
It was tricky to find. When u come by subway, go ahead and turn right at the bakery. It's on the left side. When u come by train, get off exit east, keep left. Hostel is on the right side.
Anne hostel is so close to JR Station and subway. Which means you can go everywhere really easy but you can hear every train passing by every minute. That can be annoying. Cafés, Restaurants and stores all available in the neighborhood.
I personally liked it in Tokio and in this hostel so much that I extended my stay.

The Anne Hostel in Sumida City is a pretty cheap compared to other hostels in Tokyo, but it has a pretty high standard nonetheless.

Pros:
- Clean rooms
- Clean bathroom facilities
- Free coffee/tea
- Nice kitchen facilities
- Nice common area
- Good travel information available
- Friendly staff
- Close to the Subway/Railway station

Cons:
- Check-in until 1 pm which is bad if you arrive late (I had to sleep at Haneda Airport because the immigration took so long)
- Very slow WIFI
- Even though the cleaning personnel did a good job, they often bothered during the day
- No breakfast
- Hard beds

Nice place, clean and well priced. Situated in the heart of the sumo town, so perfect if you are travelling at the right time of the year to see a sumo competition. Close to the train station so great for getting around the city. Also close to many great restaurants.

Great lounge area with lots of travelling information, TV, playstation and computers all free for use. Large, comfortable beds with a private screen.

I spend one week with 5 friends in the hostal and it has a great young travelers ambience, it is located 2 min away from the Japan Railways and the Metro.
The room for 6 was perfect, great space and the bathrooms always clean.
The staff was always nice and helpful, the only problem is that they just accept payments in cash.

Room tip: If you are traveling in a group is better, so you would not have to share room.

We stayed in a Private room at Anne Hostel. Everyone was friendly, and they gave great information, both about the surrounding area and about Tokyo as a whole. Good for those who want to be social, and for those who have their own agenda. In a great neighborhood right near the Ryogoku station. The cafe on the corner (turn right out of the hostel) is a great place to start your day - the pastries are awesome.
