Stayed two nights here and could have stayed more. Busy and convenient location, but VERY quiet. Staff spent quite a bit of time helping us make plans. Not always accurate, so if you need concierge, walk to the New Hotel Otomi for help. One block to subway and short ride to Shinjuku station. Love the free tolietries. Had wifi.

I stayed 4 days in Mitsui from March 25-29,2012 and has a great experience on transportation from Yotsuya station which has both JR and Subway. I can reach all around Tokyo with all line at Yotsuya. Just ask officer at the station and he/she will provide you with detail station to go through any place you want. I follow this line to Haneda airport: Yotsuya to Yoyogi and change to Yamanote line to Shinagawa then follow keikyu line and fine track to Haneda. It takes less than 1 hour and amazingly we made it without stairs, it helps when you shopped a lot in Tokyo that make your luggage pregnant:)

I've stayed in many hotels around Tokyo, some more some less expensive, Mitsui Garden Hotel Yotsuya has certainly been the best 'bang for the buck'. Ideal location close to the Chuo Line, a quiet but not too quiet neighbourhood, very friendly staff and and a beautiful, compact but very well designed, very clean room!

I arrived from the airport in the early afternoon to find that I had left my bag on the train, with passport, iPad, work files, and cash. The Mitsui Garden desk attendant IMMEDIATELY got on the phone with the JR East railway company, after asking me basic details about the train, and managed to track down the bag and have it held for me at the terminal station. You can imagine my relief. I stayed here on business for 8 days. The staff was young, but very, very well trained, similar to what I've experienced at the top hotels in Tokyo (Imperial, Okura). The rooms, it is true, are small, but modern and clean; who stays in their hotel room all day, anyway? If they had Wifi, it would be perfect. (They have free wired broadband.) Breakfast is Y1000 and cash-only in the stylish Italian restaurant on street level. The street behind the hotel has many places to eat at low prices, and a convenience store at the corner; no need to be shy despite their intimate sizes and minimal English; owners are welcoming! Train and subway choices 5 minutes away: Chuo, Sobu, Marunouchi, Nanboku. If you can get a room here, stay. If not, Tokyu Stay Yotsuya across the street has similar prices and slightly bigger rooms WITH WASHER / DRYER and KITCHEN, but with older facilities and minimal (but good) service. Loved Mitsui Garden Yotsuya.

Room Tip: Street rooms are south-facing and hot in the summer but lovely in the winter; back rooms are north-facing and quieter.

I stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hotel for 5 nights and was really impressed with the hotel. We got a really good deal and was completely surprised at how good our stay was for the price we paid! The receptionists were extremely professional but just not very cheerful. Our room was clean, modern, spacious and had everything we needed, with all the toiletries. The only let down was that it did not have free wi-fi, but it didn't bother us too much.
The hotel is close to Yotsuya train station which is essential as Yotsuya doesn't have anything too exciting to go see on foot. Surprisingly, the Italian restaurant next door is amazing, its really worth having a meal there. Overall, you get more than you pay for, we bagged hostel prices for this room! WINNING!
