Advertised as a twin room, not trusting the Japanese who in my experience regularly mislead travellers I wrote twice to ask for written confirmation twin separate beds - arrive to find it is a double with 2 mattresses joined.
Told room was non smoking when I could smell the cigarettes yet told over and over that it was ok because it is a non smoking
Lift pings throughout night
Doors slam continuously

We went to Tokyo for Cherry Blossom Season. The Hotel was in a quieter area north of the center of Shinjuku. We were able to walk many places but still had the train directly nearby so we could get anywhere easily. The rooms are small as to be expected in Tokyo and at this price point, but comfortable and clean. Big windows with lots of light on the top floor where we stayed. Staff were friendly. We even did a little laundry one day...two floors have washer/dryers. All in all, we would certainly stay there again.

This hotel is in a great location right next to Higashi-shinjuku station and Tully's coffee (good coffee) is right beneath.
Just around the corner, only 5min walk, is Golden Gai - an area for food, bars, clubs and karaoke!!

We had a twin, non smoking room which was very clean and had a great view of the city but it was very tiny, hardly any room for us both and our two suitcases, so be sure to like the person you're travelling with haha!! We did have a beer vending machine on our floor though

Staff were very friendly, spoke English well and were happy to help where they could.
Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling on a budget and who can handle tight living quarters

Many thanks for your stay here.
I think you could enjoy the location of my hotel.
Hope you come back and enjoy Karaoke and Beer again!
We will assign your room close to the beer vending machines.

We stayed at three hotels in Japan (Tokyo and Osaka) and this was the most expensive and the least attractive. The location is good, and I guess that's what you pay for as the rooms are tired, in need of a refresh, and very, very small. It was clean, and basic. The other two hotels were significantly superior. I would probably not go back. Gary on the front desk was great though, the other reception staff not so much.

We are a group of 6 tourist who checked in to this Hotel for 6 nights. First impression- good location- it is near the subway.

While checking in, one woman in the frontdesk stand out due to her sheer rudeness and arrogance, she's acting like she's doing us a great favour, which she is not happy about, while having us checked in. Good thing there was a guy who maybe noticed her attitude, he tooked over and had us checked in well and smooth.

The room is very tiny and on the old fashioned side. The bathroom is even tinier, I had bruises due to the bumps whenever I'm taking showers. Room amenities are so so. No cabinets to put your clothes, the bed mattress and pillows are thin and hard, the duvet smells musty.
You can hear the hustle and bustle of the streets outside as the room is not sufficiently sound proofed.
Coin operated laundry and dryer are available on designated floors. Wifi is available. Breakfast is so so- we were given coupons to be used at Tully's-the coffee shop downstairs. We get to choose a breakfast set on their breakfast menu everyday (hotdog sandwich/toast/cold sandwich with tea/coffee/juice).
Good thing, there's a lot of fast foods and convenience stores outside, so you can pick what you want to eat. The hotel is within walking distance the Kabukicho and Golden Gai area. There's a lot of izakayas, restaurants and bars to try. It is walking distance to Ichiran and Don Quijote.
