3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2010

Room was very stuffy. In a good location though close to metro and reteraunts etc. staff friendly and free internet. Best thing about this place is the massage chair in my room which was a welcome sight after a long day sightseeing!! Would return without hesistation.

Staff can't speak English. Rooms are small. Hotel is hard to find. They try to increase prices and rip you off when possible. For example, it is advertised that laundry costs 1000¥ per bag(which they provide to you to fill) but when u fill it and bring it back for them to wash, they charge you 2000¥ because it is "too heavy." the rooms are also very dirty, there was hair in the bathtub and shower upon arrival and sheets are not changed daily. The hotel policy is to only provide one key for each room and each time guests leave the hotel, the key must be returned to reception - horrible policy because reception staff do not remember guests and hand out keys to whomever requests for them at reception. This means that any goods and valuables left in your room are not secure. I would not stay here again.

Stayed 5 days with family of 6 in two rooms (had double bed with roll-away). Much better value than nearby Hotels in Shinjuku. Great location within one block of Shinjukugyoenmae subway station and easy walk from Shinjuku train station. Near all the excitement that Shinjuku has to offer but tucked away on a quiet side street.

Rooms are small by western standards with barely enough room to walk by with the roll away. Beds were comfortable and clean. Pillows were a bit small and hard but tolerable. Bathroom is the highlight with it's "traditional Japanese wash station" next to tub. Kids loved the bathroom and the free softdrink dispenser in the lobby.

Friendly and helpful staff provided directions and recommendations to local shops and resturaunts. Not a world class resort by any stretch but a great place to experience life in Tokyo. Great value.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom flat in a building not far from the main building of the hotel. We were 2 adults and 3 children. We stayed there 6 nights at the beginning of our holiday and other 5 nights at the end of our trip in Japan. The flat was cute and comfortable. It was equipped with kitchen tools and microwave oven. It was clean and the bathroom towels were changed every day. The flat was at a walking distance from fast food restaurants, cheap japanese reastaurants and shops. Moreover the metro station fast really close to it. I loved that flat and I would like to go there again.

First- the good- the Western rooms provide a large spa and shower room AND and adjoining toilet and basin and large bench space. Many toiletry products provided in large pump bottles. Hairbrush and toothbrush and body scrubber were also included-Great!. Free drinks from the lobby drink machine were a godsend after a hot and humid day! The free wifi and also free computers on two floors were excellent.
Stayed at this hotel twice during our tour of Japan. Unfortunately booked a new Japanese room which consist ed of futons on the floor of tatami matting, and not much else. No space and the smallest bathroom I have even anywhere (the tap moved from the basin to the shower/bath and the toilet was on an angle to fit into the room). The obviously unfinished room (light hanging from cord, smelly raw concrete with builders markings) most unpleasant. Hence my advice to book a Western room- it was fabulous in comparison and the same price. Overall the rooms are very well priced for Tokyo. The the walk to the JR Shinjuku station and back was not easy in the oppressive heat. It's closer to the metro, although we had the JR Pass that did not include metro tickets.
