I've stayed here over Golden Week, one of the main deciding factors for this hotel were the competitive room rates compared to other chain hotels.
The hotel is in a very nice area, Shirokanedai, which has a more residential feel to it, but there are some very good restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. The hotel has a very useful map of the restaurants, including which ones have English or picture menus. This is something you might need if you don't speak Japanese.
The room we had was good size, and very clean, however it looked old, it has not seen a renovation in a long time. I did read that there are renovated rooms, but we had not booked one of those.
I'm planning a trip later this year to Tokyo and I will be staying here again, because it is a nice quiet area with a good connection to both Meguro station for getting anywhere in Tokyo and to Shinagawa station for the taking the train out of the city or for Narita Express.More
