Stayed at the executive (Club) floor. The renewed lounge is very comfortable with all day drinks and food which is much better than what most other Sheraton's Club lounge offer. Continental breakfast has many choices, but lacking a Japanese menu. Tea time has plenty of food offerings. Evening menu is also plenty making it almost a buffet. But the quality of wine is of question (Woodbridge by Mondavi. Really? At least have something that is drinkable. I felt like being in an Economy class.)
Formerly being a Miyako hotel, the facility is old but renewed and kept up quite well. It is much better than your usual Sheraton in that sense. But old-ness does creep up in some areas. The gym and pool has a "Showa" era atmosphere. Perhaps this is the next place that deserves a do-over.
Club concierge is OK, but won't let you check in or check out. Not sure what else they are there to do. Something is always missing in this hotel to not make it perfect.
Parking is not ample, and is extremely inconvenient if you park at B1 level since there are no elevator access. You'll have to stop by at the front entrance which will be inefficient if you are travelling alone or the front entrance is congested.
Shower and bath are all working fine. Japanese standards are kept so it is well above average in international standards. But shampoo and amenities are standard Sheraton. I didn't like to see the same questionable quality products that you see at cheap Sheratons in other countries used here at this hotel that charge at least twice as much.
Overall, if you can book a Club room at a bargain, it will be very hard to beat considering what other major brand hotels charge in Tokyo. But you will have to consider the location and difficulty of access to metro and other transportation means. Yes it is peaceful and quiet, but that is because you are away from any transportation hub.
Even "missing last pieces", I will still choose this hotel if it keeps up having the special SPG offers.
