My wife's friend has a friend who said that you've GOT to try this restaurant, and so there we were for lunch. We arrived slightly before noon, and there was already a long line.
For lunch that day, there were three types of curries, the hot (shrimp and aubergine), medium-hot (chicken) and mild (okra). You can choose one to three curries for a platter, which comes with nan, a scoop of rice and salad. I chose the hot curry, while my family chose the other two.
First off, the hot curry was absolutely fabulous, spicy but not to a level were it starts to become ridiculous. It had a complex flavour of various spices, and the shrimp and aubergine went very well with the hot curry. It reminded me of a hot fish curry that I had in India a few years back.
The medium-hot curry was splendid as well. It has coriander in it, along with a variety of spices, giving the curry a lemon-ish aftertaste. The mild curry was also very good, which reminded me of pumpkin soup.
The place was busy for the first 30 minutes, but the customer turnover was fast, and so things started to settle down after that. I will definitely come back again, for lunch and for dinner as well.
