Owner description: This large neighborhood is home to many stores and restaurants and is a favorite destination for the youth of Tokyo.

Ginza, within walking distance from Tokyo Station, is one of the big three shopping and entertainment areas in Tokyo along with Shinjuku and Shibuya. Like the other two areas, Ginza comes alive at night with streets lined with neon and buildings competing with each other for the prize of 'most unique and most opulent architecture' award! My personal favourite is the Chanel building with its LED facade which encompasses the entire front side of the building and displays some very interesting video images at night. Of course being one of the world's foremost fashion addresses means you'll see all of the major international fashion brands housed here. There are plenty of shopping opportunities and many restaurants and cafes to choose from. The main street is closed off to traffic on Sunday afternoons.

An exciting area to visit near the Emperors Palace and the fish market with fresh fish a specialty.
Ginza is an area for those young in heart and spirit.

Great for a morning walk wherein shops are not yet fully opened. This is the way I love it on a Saturday morning at the one of the most expensive commercial property in the world.

Ginza was a bit meh to us who has Bond Street at our doorstep. However I did enjoy the Sony show store, as they had Gran Turismo goggle play area and all sorts of new gadgets which hasn't arrived in London yet.

We spent around an hour here and was worth the time to walk around and try out some of the gadgets. V impressed with the 3D camcorder.

Free entry and English speaking staff to assist with tax free purchase.

THis has got to be one of the best shopping centres in the world! There was no downsides to our stay in Ginza and we found some great restaurants as well.
