Overlooking the Marunouchi distract, the stunning Palace Gardens and a stroll from Tokyo's exciting Ginza, The Palace Hotel is a subtle blend of Japanese luxury and modern convenience, the staff are überattentive without ever being under-foot.
The porters read our names from our baggage tags so quickly that we were greeted by name before we had exited our cab. We were swiftly direct to the executive lounge on the 19th floor while front desk staff checked us in remotely.
Our 21st floor room was superlatively appointed, fittings of the highest quality, a solid slatted king-size bed and a view overlooking the Royal Palace and gardens.
The GREATEST disappointment was that we only had two nights at The Palace, it was my first stay at the hotel - my travel companions second - we were both wowed.

HINT: the arcade beneath the hotel is well worth a visit, the artisan shops will help peel away the contents of your purse, such beautiful items on offer.

My only complaint was that both times we ordered room service, the fare arrived less than steaming hot.

Room Tip: If you can arrange it, ask for an executive floor with complimentary lounge access. Buffet breakfast...

Having stopped in many hotels during our stay in Tokyo, I was disappointed that I had only booked one night here! The hotel views and the room was amazing. And the minibar was exceptional and good value. We were extremely lucky to get into the tepinyaki restaurant during our stay and had our own personal chef for the evening. The food was exceptional and the chef encouraged us to try new foods and flavours that blew us away! Advances booking us recommended for this!

I used to stay at the Palace years ago before the recent refurbishment. It was good then. Now it is quite exceptional. The service standards are of the very highest international class and the room I had with a palace view had every amenity and was extremely comfortable. The tempura restaurant was a delight as was the bar. I can't wait to go back

We are at the Palace Hotel for 2 nights and, so far, the service, the food, the attention and the cleaness is outstanding.
However, tonight after trying to have dinner at the Grand Kitchen Restaurant and not being able because it was full, we were invited to stay at the Palace Lounge and have a light meal . When the bill came, to our surprise, we noticed they charged us the equivalent of US$8 for 3 pieces of bread which in our previous meals at the Hotel we were never charged. We complained with the waiter about that charge but he justified that it was a SF order, special food order...
It's very wierd to us that a hotel of this category, without never mentioning the price of the bread in the menu, charged us for that, mainly because in previous meals they have never done that.
