I stayed here for 3 nights during a business trip. The hotel is brand new, luxurious, clean and beautiful. The room is large with fantastic views and comfortable king size bed. Beautiful large bathroom with complete amenities. Location is very close to the subway. Best to avoid the restaurant as the food is really expensive. Otherwise, do not hesitate to stay here if you can afford it.

This is my favourite hotel in Tokyo, since it re-opened as a new hotel a year ago. I stayed for a week twice last year.

Pros:
New (re-opened a year ago): clean
I like the interior: Modern with a traditional Japanese flavour
In the middle of Tokyo. Convenient to go to Akasak, Roppongi, Ginza, Ohtemachi, etc... Directly connected to a subway station
Quiet considering the location
Walking distance to Akasaka, a neighborhood with many restaurants.
Very large (45m^2) room for Tokyo standard (<- I love the feature!!!)
Large (and free for stayers) swimming pool
Free wired internet connection (you can borrow a wireless router as well)
Staff are nice, efficient, and friendly.
Take a shuttle bus (Airport Limousine) to/from the Narita international airport (90min typically, $30).
Not too expensive for the size of the room, cleanness, location.

Cons:
Not too close to popular neighborhoods like Shibuya or Shinjuku. In a sense, too in the middle of Tokyo
Hotel bar close before midnight...
Hotel bar and restaurants are nice and quiet but pricy (compared with a lot of cheap bars and restaurants within the walking distance).
Seems like not many rooms with King-size bed.

Overall, for the large size of the room, the fact that it's newly opened recently and it's quiet for the convenient location, and the location, it's a great deal for me. I will continue to stay at this hotel every time they offer a decent deal (which happened very often so far). I highly recommend, unless you want to stay in popular neighborhood like Shinjuku or Shibuya, which are better for shopping and sightseeing.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the Imperial Palace and the Prime ministers' residence. You can enjoy the b...

A stunningly beautiful hotel with some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. The rooms are elegant and spacious with lots of unique design and comfort. We stayed for a long weekend at the end of the summer and found the facilities to be first class. (The pool and spa area were particularly noteworthy.) We chose to stay on a club floor, which is more expensive, but definitely paid for itself with all of its added benefits. (It included free access to the gym and pool, free food and drinks in the afternoon and evening, and free breakfast in the lobby restaurant.)

The hotel is located in a quiet area near the Prime Ministers residence and the main Government buildings. There isn’t much to see there, but the hotel is connected to a subway station so it was easy to get great areas like Ginza or Omotesando in just a matter of minutes.

In the end though, it’s the service that stood out most. The staff at the Library Lounge deserve special credit. They were the definition of friendly and helpful. Especially Ms. Otani who went above and beyond for us and got us a pair of tickets to see a special performance of Kabuki. It made our weekend!

Highly recommend the hotel…Great experience! We’ll definitely go back!

This hotel is excellent, almost flawless, brand new, beautiful and luxurious. Tokyu is a group which has, among others, several hotels in Japan. The Capitol was designed to be the flagship of Tokyu hotels.
Stayed here for two weeks, in two different rooms (got an upgrade after a week staying at the standard king, which they call "Deluxe King", to a "Premier King", with 63 square meters - or 650 square feet - outrageously large for Tokyo standards).
Room was beautifully decorated. Shower (rain shower head, not available in most of Tokyo hotels) and bathtub were like an "in-room" spa, after a day walking around the city.
In recent visits, I have stayed in other areas of Tokyo: Shiodome and Shinjuku. While the first was not in a central location, the one in Shinjuku was in the middle of the crowds and, at least for my taste, it is a little bit annoying to leave the hotel and get caught right away in the middle of thousands of people rushing to work. I can tell you the Akasaka area, where the Capitol Hotel is located, is very central and, therefore, you can reach any main point of interest in the city in a matter of, at maximum, six subway stations. It is not that crowded, though.
Free bottles of water are available in the room every day and you can request more, if you need (aparently, there is a limit of two additional bottles per day, as they billed me for a third additional bottle - but cancelled the charge when I asked).
In some interactions, a few people in the staff did not have fluent English, but nothing that impaired our excellent experience there.

I took my time finding a hotel for this trip and I have to say it was worth it. This hotel is a true gem. I was a little doubtful about the location thinking it could be too far from the action but actually it turned out to be just right. The hotel is connected to a subway station and it couldn't be easier to move around.

The service is great. Asian service in general is something totally different but they made it even better. Everything worked like a charm.

The corner room we booked was really large and had a nice view. They only seem to come with separate beds but you can push them together and create one supersized bed.

Tip, the easiest way to get to the hotel from Narita airport is hands down the airport limousine bus (3000yens one way) that goes straight to the hotel and back.
