This was on our must-see list for our first time to Japan, and it was well worth it! We went the first week of April, which I understand is usually the perfect season for cherry blossoms. I think they bloomed a little early this year because they were only about half in bloom, but it was still beautiful! We loved renting the row boats in the moat to add some diversion to our day and get off our feet.

We all love flowers & nature to a certain degree.

After a 7 hour sleepless flight, we headed over and were mesmerized by the sights of the streets , hills lined with people and all too beautiful blossoms. It was like a living history book speaking to you. Right in the middle of a city.

A must see.

Well it's clearly the place to go for Sakura or Cherry Blossoms.

Expect crowds, but that's going to happen anywhere during the flowering. Went to a lot of parks, all the same.

Beautiful views all around the area, rivers are quite stunning with the trees and city around.

Hire boats if you like.

Probably the most cherry blossom in one area I seen in all of Japan. More than Osaka Castle.

The park is big, there is a huge area to cover, so bring your comfy walking shoes.
Bare in mind that palace in the park is closed on Mondays and Fridays! So unfortunately we didn’t get to see it and look at it closer, but still the walk and the park is beautiful!
They offer a boat rental, which can give you beautiful scenery when the cherry trees are blossoming.
Worth a visit :)
