We have decided to take our vacation this year in Tokyo, we are always looking for something local and if possible combined with artistic experience.
We have found Wakalture on trip advisor with very high recommendations so we booked us the Wakalture experience.
From the minute we booked our visit, Wakana introduced herself and we started corresponding by mails, Wakana had explained everything so we knew exactly what to expect for.
We arrived to Wakana apartment, Wakana was so welcoming and nice with a great attitude and made us feel like home.
We booked the Udon and Origami experience, we started with the Udon dough preparation and while we had to wait about an hour for the dough to be ready we did the Origami part.
Wakana was so nice and patient with us and made it fun and enjoyable experience for us.
We are grateful and fortunate to have meet Wakana and taking that experience, it is highly recommended.

Wakana was a good teacher - very friendly and guided us gently in the class. We got to eat whatever we cooked, and both the udon and tamagoyaki tasted really good!

She spoke good English which allowed for good conversation on Japan and our travels. She also gave us some helpful tips for Japan!

We did the noodle making and calligraphy class together. Wakana’s class has a nice relaxed feel like you’ve been invited to a friends house. Got to use the proper ink stone and brush for be calligraphy with severa practices to perfect a set of characters of our choice. Noodle making was hilarious as you get to knead, cut and even stamp on the dough and it was mmmm delicious. Wakana has lots of crafts too in her house for sale. Got a beautiful pair of crane earrings and were cheaper then an adjacent shop. She kindly posted them to my future hotel

Wakana is a very kind and easygoing person. She explains things well and provides good guidance, all in a cosy atmosphere. I booked an introductory class where all the equipment was provided by Wakana. So thank you for the great experience, I learned a lot!

I was really happy we took time to go to Wakalture. Wakana is a super talented certified calligrapher, and so nice!
We took the beginners class, and she showed us what to do, while explaining about the calligraphy itself. I enjoyed this a lot and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about it!
She really knows what she is doing, with 20 years of experience within this craft. I felt privileged to get to see her work, and it was pretty special for me personally. Recommended!
