We thank you for taking the time to post comments on TripAdvisor.

Over many years we have responded with personal consideration to each and every set of guest comments, however reflecting where the world of Hospitality is today, we now feel there is more relevance in providing a general response to each review. As and when blockchain technology allows hotels to verify that all published reviews are fully legitimate, we may be able to justify allocating our own resources again, to responding to individual reviews.

Dear Readers, our gratitude to everyone who has made a positive online contribution. We mention in passing that we are recipients of TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence for all 3 of our review pages, Balbirnie House the hotel, The Orangery (with #BalbirnieDeluxe) and our Balbirnie Bistro. It is lovely to know that the hard work of the 110 individuals who form our brigade, receives recognition which is so consistently great from our customers.

For all daily updates and photographs, competitions and offers, please do head on over and join our Balbirnie House Hotel Facebook page, we have more than 15,000 individuals who now receive Balbirnie’s Daily Updates. This is now very much an accumulating historical archive of information, a celebration of life in and around Balbirnie. Our gratitude as always.

Twitter is now also very much an integral part of what we do, We operate numerous Twitter feeds, the main listing is @BalbirnieHouse - talking daily about what goes into the complexity of our operations, as well as the generalities of how wonderful it is to work within the hotel sector. Please do join us.

Additionally, Balbirnie’s social media also focusses on the ongoing labour of love, a never-ending program of re-investment back into the fabric of the assets, maintaining and improving the future of our Grade A Listed 1777 National Treasure. Over recent years we’ve seen investment annually prioritised and maintained in a range between double and verging quadruple that of industry norms for the hotel sector, which explains why Balbirnie is currently looking at her best in history. Long may that continue, our ability to maintain such expenditure really is the living of a hotelier's dream.

I recently had a fantastic dinner at The Orangery, when returning with my wife to Balbirnie House for an overnight stay. As in our many previous visits the menu and wine choice are refreshed, interesting and very extensive. The meal itself was excellent quality, and yet very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and attentive. Balbirnie are clearly reinvesting to maintain their high standards, it was great to see the newly refurbished drawing room, and we were very lucky to have a stay in their luxurious new honeymoon suite - very classy!. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay - we'll be back again soon.

My husband and myself enjoyed a DBB stay at Balbirnie Hotel in October. We had dinner in the Orangery restaurant.
Firstly, our room, no. 204 .... absolutely beautiful. Stunningly decorated, huge, and extremely comfortable. I had the best nights sleep for some time in that bed.
The food was superb, and the service excellent. The restaurant has such a lovely ambiance, any dining occasion becomes a special one.
Last December (2016) we ate with friends at the chefs table. This is amazing and we will definitely do it again. It’s great to see the chefs at work, and they are happy to answer your questions on the preparation of the food.
I love this place and will definitely return again and again.

Been to this restaurant at Balbirnie House now a couple of times, food has been excellent on both occasions. First visit service was excellent, but unfortunately not so good on second visit, though this could have been due to a large party at time of visit. Great venue for those special moments or just a relaxing meal.
Not the cheapest of places, but good food for the prices paid.
