The photos and description of this place just don't do it justice. From street life it looks grim, but beyond the gates is another world. Vast beautiful secure gardens with a pool, and a BBQ area beside it.
The house is huge, filled with antiques, and a decor which I would have called sumptuous, except that it is slightly tired. There is a lot of glass panels, and a marble staircase so young children would need to be supervised.
The kitchen is well equipped, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, but alas no kettle!
In the description you would think each bed was in its own room. There is a huge L shaped room, with a double bed in each section. The rooms are divided by a curtain.
In the other half of the first floor there are two double rooms and a twin room, and another twin room on the next floor.
There is a washing machine in the basement.
TV in lounge and a music centre, TV in one bedroom too. There is table football, table tennis, a trampoline, and loads of things to discover like the ice house, and secret steps.
You pay extra at the end of the holiday for electricity.
The owner is really friendly and helpful, cleaning the pool each day and inflating the lilos, giving useful information, but not intrusive.
It's a bit of a walk into town, but there is a rather expensive pizza takeaway near the station.
Things to do; club spaghetti restaurant-good food and prosecco on tap!
Grotto de Cagleiron lovely shrine and a breathtaking walk through a river valley.
The prosecco machine and help yourself osteria are worth a visit, and a trip to the Cathedral of St Anthony at Padua. Venice is easily accessible by train, but you have to change at Connegliano and the trains don't connect. You may have to wait a couple of hours. Better to drive to Connegliano and get train from there.

“Wonderful relaxing stay”

What a fab villa! Went for my 50th Birthday with friends and family and it lived up to our expectations. A great "period" (retro) villa that we all loved and in such a lovely town. Close to the mountains and lakes and only 6 euros on the train to Venice (from a nearby town). Pool and gardens fabulous; we spent most of our time both day and evenings by the pool and in the gazebo drinking the beautiful local wine. Livio was a lovely bloke and was very helpful. We would definitely consider going back again.

Stayed here last June for my 50th birthday with family and walking friends. The owner was extremely helpful and even sorted out a baby car seat for my nephew. The large gardens are great for both Children and adults. There is plenty of room for large groups and it is within walking distance to train station if you fancy a trip to Venice. Supermarket is also within easy walking distance

“Lovely venue for a wonderful holiday”
Reviewed 6 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

My family and i stayed here for 10 days in August and had a wonderful time. It is a great location between Venice and the Dolomite's with views of the mountains welcoming and friendly people.

From booking this the owner Livio was a great help advising how best to get to the villa things to do and even helped book trips while we were there he was a great help

The villa is easy to get to just 45 min from Venice airport straight down the high way. Within easy reach of the town and super markets and had a wonderful ice cream cafe just out side the gates.

The place is really quite large the kids loved playing hide and seek, exploring the grounds and simply playing in the pool. they would have been happy to stay at the villa for the 10 days but there is so much that can be done visit the old town go to Venice, cool down in the caves a few km away go up to the lakes in the mountains or visit one of the many vineyards.

Simply a great family holiday in a great location
