“Another enjoyable stay”

We have just had our second stay for three weeks in Casita La Cabra. We have already booked for November 2015, so it is obvious that we love it.
The casita has everything we need, including wi-fi, well-equipped kitchen, spacious living room, bedroom, bathroom and private sun terrace. The ground floor terrace overlooks the garden - perfect for eating outside. You need a car unless you want to completely chill out.
Peter and Linda, the ideal hosts, are around if you need them.
If you want to stay in the beautiful north in an area unspoilt by tourism or tourists, you will not find anywhere better.

“Perfect rental for the independent traveller”
Reviewed 13 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

This property is about as far away from the commercialised touristy parts of Lanzarote as it's possible to get on this small island. If that's what you're after (which we were) then it's perfect. It's quiet (apart from barking dogs at night) and the owners who are on site are helpful and welcoming without being intrusive. An unusual feature is the very private balcony adjoining the bedroom. We only used this once but for sun worshippers it's a convenient alternative to the beach.

Lanzarote has great beaches and offers some good walking. We went in November and the weather was fine if you don't like the sun blazing all day but do like it warm. It did rain a bit, but fortunately mostly only at night.

This is the 4th visit to a cottage in the hills which is quiet and restful. With all mod cons to be self sufficient or you can visit many of the restaurants locally through out north of the island. Ideally you need a car but you can get about with the local bus service. Car hire can be arranged with the owner who lives locally. Lovely views of the country side and the sea in the distance.
We have booked for next year already.

“A Hidden Gem that has it all”
Reviewed 24 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Just spent three weeks in this lovely cottage. What more can we add, that hasn't already been said, well if you like rural life, stunning walks and still be in easy reach of the sea, this is the place for you.Wonderful little village, with two friendly bars both serving excellent food and two shops, with all the necessities. We used the local buses, stress free way of seeing good part of the island. So enjoyed going to different parts of the island, dining out with good bottle of wine and letting the buses do the rest. Buses can also be used for transfers, airport bus to Arreciefe and No 7 bus to Maguez terminus ( then 5 mins walk up hill to cottage) 10 euros for two people, Bono passes can also be bought from from the driver. Linda and Peter obviously put a lot of effort into ensuring that all their guests have a wonderful holiday, which explains all the excellent reviews and repeat visits. Certainty been one of our best holidays to date. Arrived there, feeling weary, and left with a spring in our step. Unique holiday destination.

“Could not have been Better”
Reviewed 19 December 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We've just returned from a month in Casita la Cabra and already miss it.
The cottage was perfect for us. Breakfast on the lower terrace overlooking the garden, relaxing on the private sun terrace, enjoying some of the local walks, basking on the nearby beaches or driving around we had it all and it was great.
Maguez has 2 bars with another "opening soon" and both were worth a visit and within easy walking are some great Restaurants.
Peter and Linda were perfect hosts, friendly, helpful and full of local knowledge. Thank you, we shall return.
