We stayed in an Olpera suite room on the 4th floor. The room was really nice with a seating area and balcony with a nice view of the valley. The half board was excellent - good choice at breakfast and we really enjoyed the evening meals. Plenty of courses and beautifully presented food. The staff were also very nice and attentive.

It was a handy location with the free ski bus right across the road. The bus was very frequent during the day, it finishes quite early if you enjoy a drink at the bar at the bottom of the gondola though. The hotel was full, lots of school groups for ski training but they did a good job of serving their food in a separate dining room from the main guests.

The main complaint would be that both outdoor hot tubs (whirlpools) were not warm enough to properly enjoy - basically the same temperature as the swimming pool. In addition the adults only spa area didn't open until after 4pm and the main spa and pool area was about 3pm. It would be nice to enjoy these areas a bit earlier particularly out of ski season where we returned to the hotel from skiing a bit earlier in the afternoon.
Paying for internet for 4 days was a bit pricey and you should really expect that for free in this standard of hotel.

Room Tip: Worth paying for a room with balcony and sitting area

We booked two "Olpera" suites for our four night stay, very comfortable rooms on the 4th floor of the middle block with balcony views up the valley. The half-board basis was perfect, with a very extensive buffet breakfast and fine evening meals. The "gala" evening consisted of seven courses, certainly fine dining from a Master Chef!
As others have said, the location is very convenient, with ski bus stop just yards from the street level ski room (with boot warmers). The bus service is also useful for walkers as there many well-marked trails up and down the valley.
The spa is brilliant, especially the adult area away from the children. Our only complaint was that both outdoor hot tubs were on the cool side.
Some other points: WiFi charges are quite high and internet is slow.
Check in time at 3.00pm is later than we would expect, and check out at 10.00am is rather un-generous.

Room Tip: Rooms are priced according to size, the more you pay the better the room, but all rooms seem to be v...

We are a small family (2 adults and a son of 4 1/2 years) and have stayed here from 24/6/2016-10/7/2016. The hotel was very clean as well as our room (Gamskar on 6th level in new building). The staff was very kind and the food was close to perfect. The babyphone service (runs over the telephone in your room) makes it possible for the parents to have a drink at the bar and/or to enjoy the excellent food while their children sleep). The swimming pool is great as well as the seating area inside and outside. We haven't heard any noise from our neighbours while being in our room and we could leave the window doors open during the night without risk being awakened by any noise. The only minus point we think are the absence of a small fridge and coffee and tea services in your room. This is just a detail that can't change the overall impression: fantastic! We have already decided to return...

Room Tip: Rooms in the new building are better but more expensive

We spent four days in two rooms at the Berghof.
The rooms are comfortable with a nice view of the valley. They only do half-board which is fine considering the lack of restaurants in the area.
Opening hours are "Austrian" from 18h30 to 20h30.
The spa, training room, swimming pool and outside jacuzzi are very well setup (although on the last day the water of the jacuzzi had a strange green colour).
The breakfast buffet is very generous and starts at 07h30, which is a bit late if you need take the first ride to the piste and it was tough work to manage to get a coffee at seven.
Lastly, we had leave early on our departure day, so we checked out the night before (be careful, no credit cards accepted) and as we had paid, they refused us access to their private garage as we had already settled our bill. These two hardly understandable "rules" (no credit card and no last night parking) makes me drop my rating to three.
