Description: The medieval travelers and modern, always stood in small villages in the Cretan countryside to learn about the customs and traditions and the particular way that they cooked. In Chania, Crete, in the picturesque village of Pano Agia Marina, we continue this tradition in Olivi Restaurant. Inside the courtyard with a vineyard and flowers of the Cretan countryside, among olive groves surrounding the village, we will take you to the magic of Cretan and Mediterranean cuisine. With food in the wood oven and fresh pizza. The manufacture of various dishes made exclusively with local ingredients and virgin olive oil, with much love and care by us. ( Possibility of delivery) Our wines are among the worlds known varieties of Crete and our beers. Offering a playground and free Wi-Fi.

Service was quick and polite (overall nice) and food was good. I have ordered grilled octopus and was disappointed with the portion size (compared to photo in menu). Also octopus was overdone for my taste (hard and chewy). Other food we ordered was good - fresh and tasty. We also liked how the place looked with fresh fish displayed for you to choose to be prepared and nice shaded garden.

We visited here due to recommendations and it was okay but nothing spectacular compared to some good local offerings. The food was okay and staff lovely with average prices. The only slight let down is that it does get busy and the tables are quite packed in to accommodate all the people.

We ate here twice in July 2017, food is lovely and service is friendly. Most of the Tavernas in the old village are similar in price and you will get good quality in all of them. You should expect to spend about 60-70 euros for 4 adults with drinks, but kids might share a pizza which would keep cost down (you can see the chef making the pizzas, sending the dough into the air etc). The Greek dishes are excellent, lamb kleftiko especially, but all are good. It is worth walking into the old village to eat rather than staying on the main road, all the tavernas are good.

Exellent food and service! Big playroom inside, and the pizza (from woodoven) was the very best!
Try also garlic bread with zatziki

This restaurant is a bit out of the way, from main strip turn up by garage to next corner, turn left and Olivi is opposite you on next corner. Staff were good, they have a childrens play area which can be noisy. We had stuffed aubergine rolls with tzatzikias as a starter which was good. Then we had Moussaka and kleftiko whick were both ok. The red house wine was the best we had. also the Raki we were given was different to usual, tasted of honey but was darker than the usual honey one.
