This hotel was booked for us but we were very pleased. Great views from the top units-sunset! Duplex with a shared common area. Staff was excellent. Service a little slow with dinner and happy hour but food and drinks were outstanding. No need to be rushed. Yes, the roosters are annoying and the WiFi is intermittent. You can borrow bikes from the office to ride into town-about 15 minutes.

Taking safety measures
We stayed at this hotel at the recommendation of people on Trip Advisor. Feel a little let down. The plus side: We were greeted at the airport with a beautiful floral lei and taken to the hotel. Yes the hotel is outside of town, but we preferred that. A 5 minute ride from the airport, we felt we were out in the country. When we arrived at the hotel we were given a lovely local cake and a drink. We had booked the matrimonial suite so had visions of a respite that didn't quite meet expectations. There are only 9 units in this boutique hotel. Ours was at the top of the hill with a beautiful view. Some of the units are like a duplex and others like a four-plex. All with common living areas. However, for $350/night we did not expect to share a common living space with people we didn't know. That was disappointing and uncomfortable. The room was adequate, a nice bed and double sink. Shower was wonderful. The wifi was basically non-existent unless you were down at the main reception. Not a deal breaker but it was inconvenient. There was a raised walkway around the property, to each 4-plex as well as to the restaurant, pool and spa. The people at the hotel were amazing, Andrea and Consuelo made up for the things we didn't care for. There were chickens and roosters all over the property crowing at all times of the day and night. That was annoying. We understand some people like that, not for us. The restaurant served a breakfast buffet that was less than stellar. The eggs were so runny we couldn't eat them. We were told later that we could have ordered anything we wanted for breakfast. That would have been important to know when we checked in. They had a happy hour, however the service was so slow you had to order two drinks at the same time in order to get them before happy hour expired. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night and the beef was delicious,Florencia and Pamela had dual duty, bartenders and servers and set tables, which contributed to slower service. We have heard the complaints of being too far from town. We have suggested to management that they provide a shuttle every two hours or so and charge minimally for it for the hotel guest. That would solve the problems of being far from town. Any problem that we had, was addressed in a timely manner. The pool was lovely and refreshing. Not many places to sit, but then I don't think people come to Easter Island to sit at the pool, it's an island to be explored. All in all you need to know what you are paying for. This hotel should run about $250/night.
Hare Uta was for me a big disappointment at all levels , the only good point is a nice garden with beautiful architecture buildings, so very nice « on the surface »
If you checj deeply, a lot of thing were wrong :
they forgot my pickup at my arrival when this « hotel » has only 9 rooms to manage – so it's quite easy to know which guests are arriving and i inform them the same morning of a LATAM delay but visibly they also don't read their emails. So i waited at least 45 minutes and i was crazy because of the hotel unprofessional behavior – I had to take a taxi and i didn't get any apolologize about their mistake. So nice expérience for an expensive hotel !
The hotel is very remote from the city along a main road and the airport, so it's very noisy. So if you have no rental car, there is taxis which will offer you the tourist rate or a long walk to find shops, bars and restaurants
the rooms are « scandinavian style », basic, white walls.. so less than expected
the famous « free limited wifi » - just retain LIMITED or NO SIGNAL wifi in the rooms for sure and also at reception – Sometimes you get a signal but there are many cuts and you have to restart. I came 4 other times in Rapa Nui and it's the first time i have such bad wifi

breakfast was medium quality
but there was a problem with the flush of the toilets and when i mentionned it to the reception, they said you can't put the paper in the toilets , except there is no mention of it inside the toilets. And it's the first time i encounter such inconfortable situation in Rapui Nui and in Chile, specially for an expensive rate
so their hotel investment were on the outside buildings and campground, but for the rooms, decent toilet with a flush and services , there is no value for money
so i don't recomment this hotel

Thank you very much for your comments, however, we are puzzled, as we tried our best to approach you without any success. From the moment you arrived, you berated, screamed and yelled at all and every staff that came in contact with you, without a chance to give you information nor address your concerns. Now, being your 5th time on the island, you should know the limited conditions we may have in regards to the internet connection, which is the same throughout the island, which changes according to weather conditions and other factors as the number of users connecting to the same satellite. Let us remind you that you trespassed to our admin offices without permission because you felt that you would get better connection when it is the same in that reception area. In regards to our star qualifications, we do not consider ourselves a 5-star hotel, as we are a small property, providing more personalized service. Now, like many destinations in the world, our sewerage system is very sensitive, so we have a sign on top of the toilet asking to not throw anything in it. The sign is big enough not to be missed.
All in all, we do apologize if we did not meet your expectations, however, we feel we were not given an opportunity to address your concerns, other than being getting yelled at, a clogged toilet, and your comments. We sincerely hope that your future trips will be more enjoyable if you understand the destination you are visiting, and are more open for people to help you enjoy your experiences.
A great place to stay. I stayed her for 4 nights in January 2020. Modern, clean, fantastic staff and the food in the restaurant is great. Free transfer to : from airport if you email them in advance . Couldn’t hope for a better place here. Graham
Stayed as a family of 4 adults. Had a fantastic time and enjoyed the pool and the restaurant. The hotel has free cycles which my son and I used to cycle into town. Angela was so helpful. Would strongly recommend.
First class accommodation although a 45 min walk from town. Excellent food although the beers were a little too different (ugh). Large beds, very good bathrooms, plenty of space. Grounds are lush but we didn't get time to use the pool. Recommended.
