We stayed at the Hanga Roa for a week in end June - July.
The resort itself is fairly new and a rather sprawling affair. The rooms are large and interestingly decorated. The showers were magnificent (in terms of hot water availability & water pressure - a boon after a hard days hike).
Housekeeping was efficient and we had no complaints in that regard.
Breakfast (only book bed & breakfast while visiting Easter Island as there are a plethora of restaurants to experience) was a solid affair with fruit, pastries and an egg station. Admittedly, the sausages & bacon were mediocre!
Service overall was in keeping with middling Island standards ( and I do second the other reviewers comments on the lack of care shown by reception staff).
On the other hand, Jaime at the excursions desk was excellent and accommodated several late ATV returns and idiotic requests with a smile and a nod!
The hotel would struggle passing as a 3-star but given the dearth of options, I think its a very good place to setup base while exploring the Island.More
