At the outset I should say the operation of this restaurant seems to have reverted back to its parent since we dined here first, and in the process the menu and personnel have changed too. So, my wife and I dined here both in September/early October and again just last week, by which the transfer of operation back to the parent business had taken place. However, it has to be said on all occasions the experience was very satisfactory.
First the experiences of September/early October - in this manifestation the menu was largely made up of tapas style dishes (in size) but of a very high standard and not typical of a traditional Spanish Tapas restaurant/bar, rather innovative cuisine cooked to a very high standard. The service was prompt, courteous, friendly and very satisfactory and if we had anything to quibble about it would probably be the somewhat restricted wine list. It should also be said that the pricing is somewhat higher than the averages for La Herradura but by no means is it excessive or poor value for money - to the contrary all of the meals we had under this management were excellent.
The experience of late October was equally satisfactory (luncheon and dinner) however the business had changed and the menu was more akin to a typical table d'hote but it must be said the food was cooked to a high standard and again was more international in style than typically Spanish. The personnel had also changed (service and kitchen) but the overall experience was equally positive.
In summary this restaurant is well worthwhile including on your list if you are visiting La Herradura.
