“Stunning views from a equally stunning apartment”

We had the pleasure of staying here 17th may 2014 for one week. The apartment is everything it says it is and more. From the comfy cream leather sofas and dining chairs, to the rain shower head and deep fill bath. The kitchen is well equipped with good quality crockery, cutlery and pans. (John Lewis, M&S, Viners, Pro chef etc) You open the door to the apartment to be met with a beautiful fresh clean smell and a stunning view overlooking the bay towards Gwithian and Godrevy. On the coffee table is a hospitality tray already to go (just add hot water!!) and on the counter top in the kitchen is a welcome hamper with a pint of milk in the fridge. It is the little details that make this place an incredible holiday home, too many to mention on here, but every little detail has been thought of. The walk down to the beach is via a steep narrow path. It was quite slippery when we visited. but then it had been raining an awful lot the week before. Carbis Bay itself is also very hilly. The walk up from the train station, or to Tescos are via big hills, so if you don't like hills, then don't come to Carbis Bay. But if you want to stay in an outstanding home from home, but with much better views, then you can do no better than to stay at 8 Fernhill!

“A gorgeous apartment with amazing views over the bay”
Reviewed 11 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We stayed in 8 Fernhill in Aug 2013.We had such a amazing stay we will definitely returning.
As you walk into the apartment you are greeted by mouth opening views over the bay they are just delightful. We have 10yr old twins and they loved sitting in the window seats looking out of the windows at the beautiful views.
The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need for a top luxury holiday including slippers, dressing gowns, toiletries and plenty more.
If your looking for 5* luxury then your search is over you've found it!!!!
There is not one negative thing I can say about our stay we totally loved it!!!!!!

“Fantastic Views from a Wonderful Apartment”
Reviewed 25 March 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Wow the views just took our breathe away, the attention to deal is fantastic and the apartment feels more like a home away from home and not a holiday rental.

The whole booking experience, collecting keys etc was very friendly and professional

Location was perfect, with a path leading to the beautiful untouched Carbis Bay beach and coastal walks to St Ives, which was only 20 minutes away

“Luxury as promised fantastic apartment”
Reviewed 30 March 2012 for a stay in March 2012

At last! Holiday accommodation that meets the high standard its promises and as shown in the photos. Great views, cream tea, wine, bubble bath, well equiped kitchen, dressing gowns and slippers made us feel that we were at home. Although the walk to and from St Ives is a good 30 mins, and the hills walking back are steep this is worth it.

We were a little envious of the apartments below us, that had balconys where you could enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine looking out to the wonderful views, but with stunning beeches all around us, we can't complain and there is a garden, although not private, that we could have used.

We cannot fault this apartment, and if the price we paid remains the same that makes up for being away from St Ives centre its self, and the standard is keep to its current high, we will be back again and again.

Trains only leave every hour, check the train times before you go to the station, otherwise, like us you are waiting a long time.

You have to pay to park everywhere in St Ives, you will need lefty of change to do this too.

Liked best: The extras, food, toiletries, quality of furnishings
Liked least: Noise from the apartment above, wooden floors, rug in living room would be nice and sofas to low to sit on , sink to far down and stopped you from seeing a full view
