The food is amazing at this place, it’s one of our favourites for sure. Great staff, great service, good prices, great atmosphere. If you halve not eaten here I would definitely recommend this place.
Only 4stars on this occasion as the beef was very tough! It was cooked perfectly, slightly pink which surprised me when I tried to cut the meet, needed a steak knife!
Made a comment and apparently others had complained,. Hopefully they will resolve!

We arrived at the Ashill I Nan and were greeted by very friendly welcoming staff.
The Inn was warm and cosy, and we were shown to our reserved table for 6. It overlooked the garden with pleasant views.
We ordered the food and Wow were we very pleasantly surprised, there very very adequate portions, beautifully presented and delicious home cooked food.
The prices are reasonable, and certainly good value for money.
If you pay the Ashill Inn a visit you will not be disapointed, but be sure to book as it is very busy.

Well worth bkuing, very popular. The food is top level cooking - the fish and chips are just superb and their other choices give a wide scope and we have not been disappointed. The portions are very big and the puddings seem to come with enough for two people - suggest a fast before arriving!!! Lovely drive to get there for visitors to the county with plenty of walks.

Enjoyed Lunch on Sunday at this lovely country inn - warm, cosy with lovely dining room, staff very pleasant and helpful. Roast meal was enjoyed by all 4 of us, two had starters and two had puds, all very good. Wonderful speciality gins (for the 'girls') to start with. A very relaxing couple of hours whilst the rain/hailstones beat down outside!

If you are looking for superb food efficient and friendly service in a unique venue then look no further. The Ashill Inn is a small Devonshire village pub; During my visit the saloon bar was packed with a joyous and noisy crowd (England had just beaten Wales in the six nations) but the dining area was quiet and peaceful. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The wine list was adequate and of excellent quality. The whole evening great value for money and memorable.
The only drawback is that you have to navigate about two miles of Devonshire country lanes but of course that is not the fault of The Ashill Inn, in fact it only adds to the experience.
