This restaurant is absolutely worth a visit. The atmosphere is cosy, the interior decoration is amazing, the food is perfect and the Sicilian wine and beer matches the food perfectly.
This is on top of our "come back and visit" list for our next holiday in Sicily.

We drove around mount Etna from Lingua Glossa to Randazzo and North from there crossing the national park. It's the best drive in Sicily, taking you through luscious vineyards and imposing mountains and valleys. Just before you get to Randazzo there's this restaurant/winery, Ristorante Da Antonio nestled between mount Etna and their own fields of vineyards. It's a fantastic place. The quality of the dishes is incredibly good and the prices are a lot less than what you could expect. The selection of local wines is also fantastic. Really worth a visit.

This is a stunning place to dine with a high ceiling and giant press dominating the room. It is inexpensive with main courses of around €10-€12.

The food was made with care and skill, but I think the chef is trying too hard. For example, we ordered some sort of tortellini, which was really flavoursome. However, it came in a pistachio cream that overpowered them. It even had a balsamic vinegar swish across one side of the dish, a rose bud and sprig of fennel. Why?

Another example is was the lemon, rose bud and grilled decorative leaves that adorned a mix of local meats. Once these were removed, simple tasty food was plain to see and enjoy.

I think the food is excellent, but lost by over elaborate presentation and sometimes too many competing flavours. I would still suggest eating here, but you should know what you are in for.

Whilst showing the area to friends, on a "Monday" at lunchtime (it seems like that almost everything is closed on Mondays in the area) we were looking for a good place to eat and directed by locals we found this great place. We loved the excellent and very well presented food as well as the Nerello Mascalese wine produced from their vineyards. The service was amazing and we even managed to tour the property. For sure we will be back!
