Upon our arrival in Randazzo, we asked a random lady where we should have lunch. She kindly walked with us to this restaurant to make sure we'd find it (the locals there are super helpful and welcoming). Sig Elio welcomed us at the door and introduced us to his family. He explained what their specialties were and he gave us two types of pasta in one plate so we could taste both. One was homemade pasta with a slow cooked sauce of different meats and the other was a farfalle with pistachio di bronte. Both were divine. Dessert was hazelnut and pistachio ice cream locally made. Also to die for... Danilo, Elio's son in law kindly provided us with a map and a cd and explained where we should visit. These are people who enjoy having visitors and really make them feel welcome.
