The Club del Sol is very impressive indeed. The facilities are excellent, the rooms comfortable and there’s a very high standard of cleanliness throughout. The food is of a high standard and good value, an excellent buffet is available in the dining room, and the entertainment laid on was all, well, very entertaining.
I saw another reviewer comment about the need for a heated pool and I would endorse that, but I suspect the cost is prohibitive. But what is perhaps more feasible and I think the site is crying out for is a children’s play park and also a soft play facility for when the weather isn’t so good.

Just an important footnote edited out by Tripadvisor to my "Anniversary Holiday" original review yesterday. I must thank the Club Del Sol team for making our 45th Anniversary stay extra special by leaving a bottle of Champagne & large Fruit Basket in our Suite on our special day . Very thoughtful which made that Extra Special date memorable . I must also mention the Superb Spa facilites managed by Mayka who welcomed us and ensured we had use of all the resources and supplied our towels - Many thanks Mayka . I can recommend with confidence this Hotel . Just go.

Spent a week here at Club del sol with my partner and daughter and very much enjoyed our stay. Would visit again but perhaps more in season next time.

- Hotel very clean and tidy. Very bright and lush with presentation.

- Staff friendly and always happy to help.

- Food really good and lots of choice. We went all inclusive so had meals throughout the day. There's lots for everyone and the highlight being dinner. We experienced a themed night one evening which was a nice touch. Hotel staff get very funny with you taking food out of the dining area. Even got questioned as to why we were leaving with a banana for our daughter! Alcohol choice is not great on all inclusive, should have more options. Think I'd only do all inclusive if we were a big group in future.

- We stayed in a suite which was very well located to the pool and very clean and tidy. Two tv's in room, nespresso machine, fridge, kitchenette, plates, glasses and cutlery all available. Complementary shower and shampoo etc in bathroom. Hairdryer mounted in bathroom. Irons available on request. No ironing boards in hotel provided. Storage is all shelving. No draws/dressers. Hanging space available. Safe in room but €5 deposit required. Dry cleaning services available. Cots available. We were ground floor so had a terrace which had a table and three chairs. I'd very much say that for 2 adults and a 1 1/2 year old, we were more than adequately spaced but I don't think a suite would have much room for a family of 4, which the room was advertised as having space for.

- A few more things about the room.... For some reason, the keys to your room are on a fob with your electric card key which is used for the electrics of your room. This is strange, as you have to keep the key in the card slot on the wall of the room all the time you want your lights/tv on etc and the key to your room is attached to that same fob and they can't be separated. So, as we found out, if your watching telly and you want to lock the door of your apartment, you must the the card out if the slot, which takes the electric out before you can lock your apartment up. Why can't they be separate keys???? The room has air con but please be aware that they don't turn the air con on til mid May for guests to use. Understandable of course, it never got hot enough to warrant it but I don't know what would happen say in a heatwave....

So a few features of the hotel....

3/4 pools. Can't remember exactly how many but near the pool bar/restaurant there is a big adult pool and a smaller pool for children. Another pool can be found in the south part of the complex. Be aware that firstly these pools are salt water. Secondly none of them are heated and in this time of year are freezing! Not a good thing at all when you want to enjoy the pool but can't. Should have heated pools for out of season guests.

Free spa and gym on site. Very nice touch and gives the hotel some variety. Indoor pool adults only. Massage treatments are available at extra cost.

Mini arcade on site. Claw machines etc. Mini Mart available for purchases.

- Hotel runs a kids club/entertainment. They are very good at getting children engaged. A couple of times they asked us if we wanted to get involved. Most times we said no but they are not pushy in any way.

- At 21:30 every night the hotel bar runs entertainment. It's very varied. This is a list of things I saw being advertised during our stay:

Karaoke
Bubble performance
Quiz night
Dancers
Bingo

- Hotel is located just outside port pollencia. Don't think there's much in walking distance but a taxi takes you to pollencia for 6/7 euros. Buses available as well with stops right outside the hotel on the main road. 11 euros gets you to alcudia by taxi.

Overall a really nice hotel. Food great, clean environment, friendly and helpful staff, and a number of things to do on site. Seriously though they need a heated pool. It's awful May time :0
