We booked this hotel on the recommendation of some friends as we needed a convenient destination close to ski resort. The hotel was quiet with comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. The breakfast was more than adequate and evening meals were good . We would recommend staying bed and breakfast and choosing evening meals rather than staying half board w here choices are more limited

Room Tip: Rear of hotel is quieter with better views

We have stayed in the hotel a number of times and always found it basic but gives you what you need for a visit to this area. We always come up in the winter to Ski walk in the snow for a few days. We have stayed in the village and paid 3 times more, but here there is VfM to be found for those who want a short visit or are on a budget. Only short drive, 15klms to the ski village, the hotel has ample parking and store for equipment.
We have stayed half board but this time we did the al le carte menu which gives you more choice. Our group had 4 rooms all were very satisfied with the stay. Advice to travellers, check your antifreeze in the car, something easily forgotten if you are coming up from the coast.

Room Tip: TRy to get a rear room for the view, but their are a limited number only? If its mild turn down radiators as the room can get hot.

For a 2 star hotel the service is fantastic, the rooms are rustic but clean. The bedlinen are not nice and those blankets should be thrown away. The breakfast had a big enough selection but the quality leaves alot to be desired. Would come back for the price though.

Good parts : -

Reasonable price, fantastic food in evening, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Breakfast is ok, not a massive choice but more than enough for us. Egg/bacon, pastries, cold meat and cheese.

Bad bits :-

Dark, depressing rooms, horrid smell throughout the hotel, but especially in our room... clean sheets and towels but old looking blankets that look like they are used time and time again for same people - we were meant to stay here five nights but could only manage 2 and had to find an alternative more comfortable and less depressing hotel.

On summery this place is cheap so don't expect anything greater than 2 star surroundings. We could have handled that, but the smell was just horrible. I told the lady on reception. And she said it comes from the outside drains.

I wouldn't be able to recommend this hotel purely because of the smell and the bedding.

Hi Cathy,

We are so sorry we have not met your expectations. About the smell it was something unusual. We apologize for the inconveniences. Best regards.

A really great hotel with proximity to the slopes, a nice view and a great charming staff. If you prefer to stay here and not in Pradollano you have an approximate 7 km ride to the ski resort. Park the car in the garage for 15 EUR a day and walk to the cabins. And voila you are up in the hills. Pradollano in itself is rather bland, without real charm.

The hotel then. The staff is charming and helpful. The restaurant serves good dinner and great breakfast. There is a big lobby/salon where you can watch television in front of an open fire. The wifi is great and sufficient for every need. Except maybe streaming movies.

The rooms are small. Two persons with skiing gear is stretching the limit. The only drawback is that the rooms have quite thin walls, thus you can easily hear the neighbours. Since this is not a party hotel it is not a big problem, but beware if you are sensitive.

If I ever went back to Sierra Nevada I would definitely consider staying here.
