Our family of four had a good stay in this cottage, the modern extension is beautiful with under floor heating and a lovely kitchen. The enclosed patio is perfect when you have kids or a dog, and the location is good for the beach & town.
The bedrooms are very small, one has a chest of drawers and the other has a wardrobe so 2 couples might find storage an issue but it was fine for us as a family of four.
The downside for me was that the carpets are like a straw matting (Sisal?) which I’m allergic to, but I’d not spotted that on the photos. Also we couldn’t find any access to free TV, there just seems to be an Amazon stick which we’ve never used before and we couldn’t get anything to work. Could do with instructions for this really.
Parking wasn’t an issue as we went in April, but street parking isn’t allowed from May so this could be a problem as Borth gets busy when the sun comes out (which it did!!).
Overall a nice place to stay, no sea views but a good base from which to see the local area.
Just had an amazing new year stay a white cottage Borth
Stunning! Cottage with great amenities everything to hand very professional and relaxing close to shops ! Bars ! Resturant’s and some fab beaches ! My wife 2 children and spaniel loved it thank you Liz and tiff ❤️
Stunning holiday cottage right on the main road through Borth - hop over the road as you’re on the beach! The cottage has been refurbished to the highest quality. The kitchen is amazing with double doors opening to a nice sized patio. Lounge and bedrooms were relaxing. We took our two young kids and 16m old dog - it was a perfect cottage and location for a family week away!
The cottage is beautifully decorated with a cosy lounge with log burner plus a bright airy modern kitchen with all the essentials. All has been finished recently to a high standard.
Having said that, I suspect the owner hasn't yet come to terms with sharing their holiday cottage with paying guests. For instance there is a sign that the vacuum cleaner is 'not a toy' plus lots of guidance on which entrances to use when coming in from the beach etc.
Our family including dog had a pleasant holiday but on returning home we discovered that £25 of our security deposit had been retained for 'additional laundering of the bed linen as dog hairs had been found on it'. We were accused of allowing our dog on the beds which we definitely do not do even in our own home. The cottage is small with the bedrooms leading straight off the lounge, so it would have been impossible to prevent some dog hair from drifting in. The amount seemed excessive and being told that we had not respected the property soured an otherwise nice stay.
This cottage is in a great location for accessing the beach.
Has both the features of an old cottage- exposed beams and wood burner, and all them mod cons you need to make the holiday easy- Dishwasher, modern fittings.
The little paved garden is great, and a bit of a sun trap.
We really felt relaxed and at home here.
