We stayed 3 nights at Villa Victoria and I must say this was the best hotel we stayed at in Argentina! The staff is awesome, they were always willing to help us out with anything!
The location is great! The hotel is close to the wineries and the city center as well.

This is a MUST if you spend some time in Mendoza! Highly recommended!

Unfortunately we had only time to spend one night at Villa Victoria. It is an amazing place. We had a very big room on the first floor - terrific! Lovely garden , nice big pool and very nice people serving us. We felt like millionaires for 30 hours!!

My husband and I stayed at Villa Victoria in the end of July 2011 for 3 nights and wish we had stayed longer. It was a bit of a challenge finding the place, so your best bet is to arrange for transportation through the hotel. However, once you get there, you'll see it was worth it.

The B&B is a beautifully restored Victorian house. We stayed in the best room in the house, the enormous suite. The bed was extremely comfortable. Although many homes in Argentina are not well heated in winter, we were very comfortable at Villa Victoria.

The owner Mariano went above and beyond for us. He arranged for our wonderful driver, Ernesto, to take us to various bodegas in the area and to some amazing restaurants. Ernesto knew everything about wine country and is such a warm and friendly man. Mariano even booked our bus to Chile for us on his computer. We so much appreciate his personalized attention.

If you're considering staying at Villa Victoria, don't give it a second thought. Just book it! We would love to go back during the spring/summer so we can take advantage of the beautiful grounds and pool. Thank you Mariano and Ernesto!!

I am the CEO of an importer of Argentinean wine to the UK (www.ruta40.com) and hence spend a lot of time in Mendoza province. Out of all the places I have stayed at, this is my favourite if you are staying in or near Mendoza. Villa Victoria is located in Maipu - in the heart of one of the best wine growing areas within the province - and about 30 minutes by car from the centre of Mendoza. The location provides the best of both worlds - near enough the Mendoza city in case you want to go out in the evenings - and at the same time you get the beauty and tranquility of being in the center of the wine country.

Villa Victoria is owned and managed by the super friendly and helpful Mariano. Having his own wine lodge has always been his dream and it shows in the attention to detail and the love with which this property has been renovated. The rooms are large, the bathrooms brand new, the linen and towels of a quality that you would normally expect in a 4 Seasons. The lodge has only 5 rooms, which makes it nice and intimate. The gardens surrounding the villa ensure peace and quite and are a great place to relax after having spent the day visiting wineries. The pool is a gem - lined with black natural stone in order to heat the warm efficiently by the sun.

The other advantage of the location is that two of the best wineries in the area are literally 5 minutes away. Head to Bodega Carinae for a visit in the morning and then over to what I consider to be Mendoza's best terrace - Bodega Tempus Alba for lunch or for a gorgeous glass of wine to go with the sunset.
