“worst hotel ever”
Reviewed 3 September 2012

By saying this hotel is the worst I have ever been to still is not enough to describe how bad this experience was. The balcony door lock was broken and so was the balcony (wood pcs off). They mowed the lawn at 630 in the morning...really? The front desk thought it was necessary to mention a few times that I was travelling by myself which did not make me feel very secure. And considering the lock on my balcony door had been broken where were they going to move me to? The shower did not work nor did the blow dryer. And the suggestion to use the safe in you suite as safety is ridiculous as there was no safe in my suite.
When I asked the front counter questions on locations to get to, the one lady's attitude was quite insulting. It was as I was intruding on her time. By the way she would answer her cell phone during my check in or questions to her. That happened more than once.
The restuarant staff were the only polite people.
In all honesty...this was the worst hotel ever. Do not spend a penny there as they do not care about their guests at all!!

Tropikist beach resort is one of the well established resorts on the island and is located in an ideal spot in the crown point area with close proximity to the airport however in terms of meals and service it was a dissappointment especially the breakast. I arrived at the resort at 1:00 pm and checked in at the counter, the staff was pleasant however the all inclusive dont start at 3:oo pm which is a total waste therefore persons on the all inclusive package who arrived earlier had to wait or purchase their drinks at the bar because of the all inclusive time but the food an beverage manager was kind enough to get us some fries to munch on while we wait for our room. Additionally, I had to wait until 4:oopm to get into my room because of the lack in the cleaning services rendered at the resort. However, the deluxe room that I stayed in was quite good and compensated for my long day.The next morning, breakfast was a total waste and quite poor and there isnt an egg station or omlete station. Other persons complained as well because of the menu which was served everyday, lunch was the usual burgers fries an chicken or fish however dinner was a la carte an there wasn't much variety to chose from but it was quite good. However, the pool area and the hot tub is nice an serene and ideal for kids. The grounds of the hotel itself could do with some refurbishing and repainting but although there were some upheavals if the management of tropikist take these comments an put them into play it would be quite good an persons would have a much better time and wouldn't have to complain

My friends and family visited this resort in early March'2012, where we were treated by a welcoming staff. We enjoyed the food, drinks and entertainment where we party to the live entertainment. the grounds was in good condition, but with a little more attention it will be great. It was raining alot that weekend but boy we did have fun, we loved the pool. Hey thanks to those wonderful staff we meet and will be visiting again in October'2012

Room Tip: Rooms on the lower floor next to the pool so you can relax and don't worry about your things in...

we stayed at this hotel for from Aug 3rd for 2 weeks. It is advertised as 3 star all inclusive beach resort.
This hotel is a 3 star Full board hotel with a small beach that you are advised not to swim from because of rocks and a dangerous current.
The grounds are well maintained but needs some repainting.
The staff are well dressed and good mannered, we were superbly looked after by Gary,Nikki ,Ryan and chef was very good too.
The menu you are given at meal times was basically chicken or fish and there is a sandwich/burger menu if they tell you about it which they dont until you are fed up with chicken or fish.We have spoken to our travel agent and suggested this resort should be advertised for what it really is and not "all inclusive". Would not go back there at the "all inclusive" price that we payed.

Room Tip: within 200 yards of the airport but noise level was minimal.Everywhere closes at 10 pm.

Recently took a vacation with my family to celebrate and have a week of fun for my son`s birthday, and this hotel proved ideal for kids. There is a well manicured field area for the kids to run around at the front of the hotel and to play games or play with their toys. The lobby / reception area was air conditioned and you were allowed to relax and use the free wifi available if you so desired. The room we stayed in had a Tropical feel-brightly coloured walls, drapery and linens-bathroom was very clean and housekeeping was excellent. The linens and towels were changed every day of our stay and that was superb. There are two swimming pools, a pool wrapped around an isle o
f tropical plants with a swim up bar feature. The kids truly loved this feature as they had the choice to order their fruit juices/smoothies as they swam in the pool. There were some sections of the pool that were shallow and therefore suitable for kids who could not swim. It was the adventure pool for the kids as they coined it! The other pool had real depth so only recommended for good swimmers-fortunately we all are. Nestled in the myriad trees and plants was a Jacuzzi as well, where you could relax the body and mind. We took the all-inclusive plan which meant breakfast, lunch, dinner and beverages were included-highly recommended- best deal for a family! Breakfast was buffet style ,lunch and dinner were a la carte, all meals we had were tasty, note there were kids options too so all palates were contented. Looking for a beach, well the beach front at the hotel was not suitable for swimming, nearest beach to frolic was Store Bay a few mins walk. Staff-certain persons deserve recognition for excellence in hospitality-the hotel manager-Mr. Anderson, hands on,diligent,diplomatic- a true asset to this hotel. Also the waiting staff: Gary,Nikki,Ryan,Kirby were exceptional ,people friendly and went the extra mile to make the experience wonderful! Thanks to all who made our stay memorable, enjoyable and blessed! The Julien family.

Room Tip: For parents wanting to keep an eye on the kids at the adventure pool, select a standard room with po...
