Visited with our friends, Diane and Arne Ahs, and stayed the Sunday night of 26th June 2016, rooms, view, breakfast and great waterfront location, along with free car parking, and easy stroll into the main square. Would definitely recommend to any wanting to spend a few days.

Room Tip: All rooms have great sea views.

We had a very nice room with a nice deck and wonderful view. The staff were very friendly. This is a great value. If I had one criticism it would be the quality of the breakfast. Many of the offerings were stale.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the sea.

Had an extended stay at Miramare in Pylos and I have absolutely no complaints. The rooms are clean, comfortable and beautifully airconditioned (perfect to escape the heat). I stayed in one of the attic spaced rooms which despite the angled ceiling is still quite spacious for 1 or 2 people. These rooms also offer a balcony with a table and chairs and a clothes line. The balcony is perfect to sit and relax whilst enjoying the amazing view. Excellent sea side location and very close to the town square.
The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. I felt very welcomed and I really cared about during my stay.
Offering ammenities such as free wifi which was very good and rarely if ever cut out and hotel parking, which is essential during August peak season travelling. The hotel also offers quite a substantial buffet breakfast to the backdrop of the beautiful pylos port.
The Miramare is truly a fantastic hotel if you are looking to stay in the beautiful Messina region at a place offering all the essentials at an affordable and competitive price.
Looking forward to my next stay

We've had a pleasant night here. Even though the airconditioning leaked water onto the floor, it did keep the room cool enough to sleep. Nicely so, in fact. Our one real gripe is the shower. It is so insanely small that a grown man can hardly stand up straight without pressing into the shower curtain and there is no way of standing under it. You have to pick up the shower nozzle and hold it above your head. Still, it does get you clean.

We're minded to be mild about this hotel since we got one of the bigger balconies (205) where you can sit together and enjoy the stunning sea view. Spend a couple of hours there, it's endlessly beautiful and fascinating.

The WiFi isn't that bad actually, like some people claim. Good enough for WhatsApp and uploading some photos. I am getting error messages indicating the router doesn't have enough ip addresses to hand out. Look into this, Miramare.

The beds were nice, fairly hard. There are any number of power sockets around so charging a phone is no trouble. There also is a huge fridge in the room! It was unplugged when we came in but served nicely later on in the evening.

Breakfast is surprisingly grand with numerous cakes and viennoisserie. The usual stuff is there also. I didn't see any feta, though.

The staff was charming and quite friendly. We felt welcome here.
