Sticking out like some early Empire State building lording over the skyline of Imabari, the Imabari Kokusai Hotel is very easy to locate while on foot exploring the city.

The room was a cut above most Japanese hotel rooms with ample space in the main room to spread out and relax. The in room amenities were also a bit better then normal. The bathroom was huge by Japanese standards with an enclosed shower and separate bathroom. Finally a shower where you could move around without touching the walls! The one downside was the carpet appeared quite dirty and stained.

Regretfully, we arrived late and left early, thus unable to enjoy any of the other hotel amenities.

The only highrise in Imabari. The closest airport is in the city of Matsuyama. The only good hotel catering to foreigners. It has a good mix of Japanese, Chinese and Italian restaurant. It has a rooftop bar and tepenyaki restaurant.
The rooms are big by Japanese standard.

An older hotel but well maintained.

Had a great dinner in the restaurant. The set meal was expensive but worth it.

Breakfast had a large range to choose from.

Rooms are huge! Also a nice onsen on site although it has an extra charge.

Would definitely stay here again.

A well known hotel for accommodating guests for launching newbuildings in Imabari.

It can get a crowd here but if you are part of this industry, can be a sight in itself.

The hotel itself is okay. The hotel fixtures can be outdated already. But the rooms are well maintained and clean. Very big bed.

Expect there's always a crowd in the buffet area every morning.

The Imabari Kokusai Hotel is a nice, modern Western style hotel. We stayed there for one night in March 2017 with our tour group, and I thought this was the nicest hotel on our trip. The rooms were very spacious, and the bathroom had a separate bathtub and shower. As with other hotels in Japan, guests were provided with a hot pot to brew tea, slippers and kimono to wear, and toiletries (everything from toothbrushes to razors). The public areas were nicely decorated and the hotel featured a beautiful Japanese garden. Best of all, it had an onsen (hot springs) where guests could soak and relax. (If you've never been to an onsen, I highly recommend it, but please read up on the etiquette.). Another plus for the hotel is that the elevators weren't very crowded like hotels in big cities.
