Location was great - about 10 minutes drive from the Highway 34 entrance of Ojochal. Very quiet, private facilities, but close to all the great restaurants in the area. There was a big "Welcome" basket in our jungalow, filled with treats, fruit, drinks, coffee, eggs, and more!! The entire area, inside and out, was immaculate, and so well cared for. Many of the room amenities were brand new. There was also a fantastic information binder covering activities, restaurants, tips, etc; extremely impressive.
Even though WiFi was available, we had some trouble connecting on a regular basis as the signal was not very strong. We just used nearby restaurants and businesses' WiFi for a better connectivity during our outings. Also, the safe in the room was removed, but you could store valuables in the main office safe.
I loved having my morning coffee on the deck while listening to the surrounding jungle sounds, and catching the Morpho butterfly as it made its morning flight down the road every day.
We felt like family by the time we left; the Owner, Carlo, was so very warm, welcoming and very helpful. We look forward to our next stay to see all the new additions planned for Eden's Nest.
Beautiful place with great view of the jungle and mountains and near the beaches. The bungalows are very well equiped and very confortable. They are elevated from the ground and it is possible to see birds and butterflies and also a nice garden and fountain. Quiet and relaxing! The owners are very nice people and help you a lot. We will come back for sure!
My three children (ages 13 - 22) and I stayed here during the week of Christmas 2018. The property was wonderfully peaceful, near the end of a dirt road, and provided easy access to all the area attractions. We enjoyed the variety of the freshly made breakfasts every morning. Carlo and Tineka are gracious hosts, and took lots of trouble to help us take full advantage of all the area has to offer. While there, we took a boat tour of the Sierpe River (great for wildlife sightings), ziplined with Osa Canopy Tours, and took a whitewater rafting trip at Rafiki Lodge. All these tours were well organized and great fun. We spent some days exploring the small towns and stunningly beautiful beaches by ourselves, and had some really great meals at several area restaurants. One of the highlights of our trip was taking an all-day tours with Carlo, who made sure he knew what we were interested in, and took us to several beautiful local spots. Swimming at the foot of a tall waterfall is our favorite memory of that day. There were still many, many things we didn't get to, so we hope we'll get to be back some day. All in all, having Eden's Nest's quiet, peaceful atmosphere as the backdrop to a very busy week was perfect for our family.
It's an spectacular place! The best place where we've been in Costa Rica. The views...the rooms are very clean, nice and comfortable. Carlo, the owner, is really kind and has prepared for us really good breakfasts and a spectacular south_african dinner! Everything was delicious.
I really recommend this place.
My husband and I needed a vacation from the hustle and bustle of city life. Boy did we get it here at Eden’s Nest. The jungalows are newly renovated and were very clean and comfortable! Being up “in the trees” gave us a feeling of privacy only shared with the occasional monkeys swinging by, the toucans singing to each other and the rustling of trees all around us. We enjoyed having an a/c to keep us cool and a little kitchenette to prepare meals. We sat on the porch and enjoyed reading and observing the birds and monkeys. Carlo greeted us when we arrived and showed us to our jungalow explaining all that we needed to know. He told us about some fun things to do like white water rafting at Rafiki. That was a wonderful experience and well worth the money spent. We also went on a mangrove kayaking tour and learned so much about the native birds of Costa Rica. We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset at Hotel Three Sixty restaurant and bar as well as live music at the Bamboo Lounge. Both are located near Edens Nest. We went on many hikes which led to some incredible waterfalls. And, after getting our clothes dirty from all the hiking, Tineka was so kind to wash our clothes for us! On our last night at Edens Nest we made a campfire and looked up to the sky to see a gazillion stars! We highly recommend this place! Carlo and Tineka were great hosts, giving us the space we needed but available to help us at any time! Plan your stay in Costa Rica at Edens Nest.....you won’t regret it!
